IT salaries: significant increase
Compensation Partner analysts examined the level and structure of salaries for a total of 29 IT functions. To do this, the study authors collected 910 data sets from companies and 10,465 data sets from direct surveys of specialists and managers.
Among the executives, the IT manager stands out and takes first place with an annual income of 145,300 euros. For professionals and specialists, IT security is the most lucrative, with experts earning just under 74,600 euros a year.
The salaries of IT project managers (72,500 euros) and SAP consultants (72,100 euros) follow close behind. A higher level of education is worthwhile: with a bachelor's degree, employees can earn around 4800 euros more per year (53,300 euros) than with an apprenticeship.
Employees with a diploma from a university of applied sciences make a leap. They receive an average annual salary of 69,200 euros. Employees with a master's degree receive a salary of 60,900 euros, and doctoral students earn the most annually at 75,900 euros.
The top location for IT is Frankfurt am Main: the city's wage level is 21.39 percent above the national average.
