Fields of action Industry 4.0
By digitizing my future company, I will be able to respond more quickly to the new demands and challenges of the market.
The value added from today's processes is relatively exhausted. This means that if I want to continue to play an important role in the market, I have to define and provide new business areas. The product should be put in the background and the added value for the customer in the foreground.
The following fields of action should be considered and implemented in advance when implementing an Industrie 4.0 project.
The organization - the person
In the future, people should continue to be one of the most important factors in the concept of Industry 4.0. The change that is being made should be communicated and trained at an early stage.
Key users should be qualified and the newly acquired know-how should be transferred to the rest of the employees. It is recommended that sample projects be set up and carried out during the implementation phase.
The ecosystem
Due to the high energy and raw material consumption in the productions, the environmental and supply risks should be closely examined. Alternative location issues and new production techniques and processes should be reconsidered and possibly restarted.
Significant resource efficiency and production increases are expected to be achieved.
Data quality
Building on a uniform data structure, which is mandatory for both the business and logistical and, above all, the design and engineering areas, a two-part software development strategy should be introduced in the future.
The speedboat strategy: This means that quick solutions are implemented immediately to increase ad hoc business.
The tanker strategy: Here, medium- and long-term strategies are adopted and company standards and standardizations are introduced. This basis and the architecture definition enable collaborative cooperation across distributed development and production sites. A broadband infrastructure should be available across the board to enable performance and quality as well as security in communication.
Added value Industry 4.0
The digitization of manufacturing and the redesign of manufacturing processes are enabling new business models and new product lines.
Immediate problems can be addressed and responded to in simulations. Quick solutions and added value are made available immediately and at any time via smartphones and tablets and are accessible to everyone in direct access. User-friendliness of my customer systems thus increases acceptance and thus increases the flexibility and efficiency of my company.
The agility in my new development helps me to operate as a company in the global market, builds me intelligent systems and creates new technical improvement.
