Focus on IT security: Award ceremonies at it-sa Expo&Congress
At Europe's largest IT security trade fair, it-sa Expo@Congress, which takes place from October 10 to 12 in Nuremberg, the promotion of young talent plays an important role. Award ceremonies in the supporting program will honour the achievements of budding and young professionals. Special achievements in the field of (cyber) resilience will also be honored. The ATHENE Startup Award UP23@it-sa focuses on the innovative strength of the IT security industry: the coveted prize is awarded to the best cybersecurity startup in the German-speaking region.
Several awards will be presented at it-sa Expo&Congress in recognition of outstanding achievements by budding specialists and IT security professionals - and thus their important contribution to security in the digital age. Together with the national research center for applied cyber security ATHENE and IT-Sicherheitscluster e.V., it-sa also honors innovative young IT security providers with the ATHENE Startup Award UP23@it-sa.
CAST IT Security Award for student projects
Outstanding theses will be awarded the CAST IT Security 2023 Award on the first day of it-sa. The final will take place the day before the trade fair as part of the accompanying congress program.
Hacking challenge: "Germany's best hacker" at it-sa
Germany's best hacker 2023 will be presented in the supporting program of the it-sa Expo&Congress. The initiative led by Marco di Filippo has set itself the goal of "inspiring the next generation to engage with IT and IT security" and promoting the positive perception of ethical hackers. Several online challenges and a final in Dortmund will determine who will take to the stage in Nuremberg.
IBCRM Resilience Award: Holistic resilience in organizations in demand
At it-sa, the Institute for Business Continuity & Resilience Management presents the Resilience Award to projects that are characterized by holistic resilience management. The focus here is on the close integration of information and IT security, data protection, business continuity management and other disciplines such as crisis management.
Best Cybersecurity Startup: ATHENE Startup Award UP23@it-sa
For the sixth time, the best startup in the field of data protection and IT security from Germany, Austria and Switzerland will be honored at it-sa. In addition to innovation potential, an eight-member jury of experts will also evaluate the business model, economic success, marketing and sales as well as the corporate vision of the applicants. The winner of the coveted trophy will be decided on October 11: the five start-ups nominated by the jury will then compete against each other in a pitch at it-sa. The three best-placed companies will receive prize money of 5,000, 2,500 and 1,250 euros.
