Turnkey policy-as-code modules
Customers can thus easily make compliance corrections and increasingly deploy Policy as Code. The new modules are directly aligned with the Center for Internet Security (CIS) benchmarks for Windows and Linux.
Compliance enforcement modules are bundled with Puppet Comply, which works with Puppet Enterprise to assess, remediate and enforce infrastructure configuration compliance policies in traditional and cloud environments.
Security and compliance requirements are becoming more complex, demanding and sophisticated, warns Puppet CTO Abby Kearns: "The need to automate policy and governance to manage infrastructure helps infrastructure and operations teams free themselves from reactive processes."
With the Compliance Enforcement modules, Puppet helps automate processes so that infrastructures comply with regulatory requirements.
Puppet says it ensures that the financial and security risks associated with non-compliance are reduced. The new solution is also said to increase enterprise-wide visibility into compliance status and predictability, as well as reduce the time and resources required to evaluate scans, remediate compliance deficiencies and prepare for audits. This makes infrastructure fully compliant.
