The public cloud as an enabler for IoT, AI and analytics
On behalf of Nordcloud, Crisp Research surveyed more than 160 IT, digitalization and business decision-makers from various industries and company sizes on the status quo of their cloud readiness and their technical requirements.
The study shows that just under a third of German companies are already using public clouds and more than half (55 percent) of the companies surveyed are about to implement or introduce them.
The public cloud is also an innovation driver that not only brings potential cost effects, but above all enables innovations for the development and marketing of new digital business models and networked products.
Managed Public Cloud Providers (MPCP) are essential here to reduce the complexity in digital IT operations and also to cover the essential requirements of the companies.
MPCP are reliable partners for cloud transformation. The scale and complexity of transformation and public cloud operations ensure that 52 percent of the companies surveyed work with one managed public cloud provider, and 19 percent with two.
Accordingly, it is becoming increasingly important for companies to evaluate suitable MPCPs that specialize in the operation and management of public cloud infrastructures.
