Red Hat acquires StackRox
Red Hat plans to acquire StackRox, a specialist in container and Kubernetes-native security solutions. StackRox's integration with Red Hat OpenShift will provide enterprises with a holistic, open hybrid cloud platform through which they can securely develop, deploy and operate virtually any application.
Red Hat OpenShift takes a layered approach to securing containers. With the acquisition of StackRox, Red Hat is expanding the native controls of the Kubernetes platform and moving security into the container build and CI/CD phases to provide a cohesive solution for increased security across the IT stack and lifecycle.
StackRox software provides visibility across Kubernetes clusters by implementing enforcement and deep data collection components directly into the Kubernetes cluster infrastructure, reducing the time, effort, and cost of implementing security and other relevant solutions in this area.
