SAP transforms the Executive Board

SAP is transforming the Executive Board with Adaire Fox-Martin, Thomas Saueressig, Jürgen Müller, Stefan Ries, and Michael Kleinemeier. Sales, service and all corresponding organizational units with a focus on customer success will in future be bundled in the Executive Board area "Customer Success" and headed by Adaire Fox-Martin.
Product management, development and product support will also come together under one Executive Board division and will in future be the responsibility of Thomas Saueressig.
Executive Board member and Chief Technology Officer Jürgen Müller will drive the development of an integrated Data Management Solution in the future, complementing his holistic responsibility for SAP platform and technology development as well as technologies for the intelligent enterprise.
The Saueressig and Müller divisions will continue to work together. As part of these changes, most of the teams from the previous Digital Business Services board area will be fully integrated into the areas of responsibility of Fox-Martin and Saueressig.
With the exception of Qualtrics, CX Engineering, and CX Product Strategy, as well as the main components of Concur, all teams previously under the Cloud Business Group Executive Board division will also be integrated into the new organizational model.
In addition, SAP has created six solution areas to deliver both Best of Breed and Best of Suite. These six solution areas are:
Customer Experience, SAP S/4 Hana, People (SuccessFactors), Intelligent Spend (including Ariba, Fieldglass and Concur), Hana and Analytics, and Qualtrics.
The SAP Cloud Platform serves as the underlying technology platform for all of the above areas, providing the necessary innovative power.
The Supervisory Board of SAP also reached a mutual agreement with Executive Board members Stefan Ries and Michael Kleinemeier on their departure from the Company.
Ries will leave the company at the end of May 2020, Kleinemeier will leave on April 30, 2020. Ries looks back on a long career at SAP.
Having joined the company in 2002, he was responsible for various HR functions until 2010, managing the HR business partner organization and overseeing all HR functions at the operational level.
From 2010 to 2014, he worked as a consultant at Egon Zehnder International, then returned to SAP and was appointed to the SAP Executive Board in April 2016.
Kleinemeier joined SAP in 1989 and has held numerous leadership positions during his time at SAP, including head of industry solutions, managing director of SAP Germany and head of the MEE region.
In 2015, he was appointed to the SAP Executive Board and has since headed the SAP Digital Business Services Executive Board division.

Myrja Schumacher strengthens Aspera
With Myrja Schumacher, Aspera gains a highly experienced SAP license management expert as of March 2020.
In her role as Product Manager, Myrja Schumacher will be responsible for the strategic-technical orientation of Aspera SAM solutions for SAP in the future.
Myrja Schumacher comes from the software asset management provider Snow. There, she was most recently product manager for Snow Optimizer.
Previously, her responsibilities at Intelligent Licensing and Honico Systems included automating and monitoring business processes for SAP and developing a tool for SAP license optimization. Myrja Schumacher comments:

New CRO and co-owner at Celonis
Miguel Milano joins the Celonis management team from Salesforce.
Milano takes the position of chief revenue officer and also becomes a co-owner at Celonis.
Previously, he led Salesforce's international business for the Asia-Pacific, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Latin America regions.
As Salesforce President International, Milano has spent the past eight years building Salesforce's Europe, Middle East and Africa region into the fastest-growing in the entire company.
In addition, he has also recently been responsible for go-to-market strategy in all international markets (with the exception of Japan and Canada).
Milano has a 28-year career and vast experience in building successful teams.
He has been instrumental in helping Salesforce become the world's leading CRM solutions provider and the fastest-growing software company ever.
Prior to Salesforce, he served as senior vice president at Oracle, where he was also responsible for outstanding success and growth.
New members join Software AG's Scientific Advisory Board
Software AG has introduced Professor Volker Markl as a new member of its Scientific Advisory Board.
He succeeds Prof. Jens Dittrich, who is retiring after a three-year term of office.
Markl heads the "Database Systems and Information Management" (DIMA) department at the Technical University of Berlin.
At the same time, Markl is Chief Scientist and Research Area Leader for "Intelligent Analytics for Mass Data" (IAM) at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) and Director of the Berlin Institute for the Foundations of Learning and Data (BIFOLD), which resulted from the merger of the Berlin Big Data Center (BBDC) and the Berlin Center for Machine Learning (BZML).
Markl was nominated for the Scientific Advisory Board due to his excellence as a scientist and his outstanding expertise in areas relevant to Software AG such as IoT, streaming analytics and machine learning.
The committee's task is to provide Software AG with a scientific perspective on technology trends - and thus to absorb external impulses.
Jürgen Pürzer becomes the new Chief Financial Officer of Itelligence. Jürgen Pürzer is a finance expert with more than 15 years of experience at Atos, eleven of which as CFO. Pürzer also brings extensive experience in controlling/finance and integration and change management.
Oliver Schreiber has been appointed to Syntax's Board of Directors. The 52-year-old expands the board as an expert for the European SAP market. Schreiber has held several leadership positions over the past 20 years, including CEO of his own company, OSconomy.
Gil Vega has been appointed chief information security officer (CISO) at Veeam. Vega is responsible for defining and adhering to Veeam's security strategy. In the past, he worked in cybersecurity at the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).
Peter Dußling is the new Head of Sales at the SAP consulting company Sybit. In his new role, the e-business and CRM specialist will take over as Head of Sales and will therefore be responsible for the entire Inside Sales and Sales Team at Sybit.
Danny Ullrich is the new Marketing Manager DACH at Arcserve. Coming from Netgear, channel communication is a focus of his agenda. Danny Ullrich is also responsible for the strategic planning and tactical execution of all marketing activities.
Taha Malik is Cubeware's managing director, effective immediately. Taha Malik is part of the fifth generation of the owning family. His goal is to continue the realignment of Cubeware. This includes, among other things, targeted investments in Data Science and AI.
