Microsoft Azure File Sync: Bridge between Cloud and On-premises

With Azure File Sync, users can take advantage of the cloud even if they have their own on-premises data center and connect local file servers to the Azure cloud. Not least thanks to the close cooperation with Microsoft, Fujitsu is the first provider in the market to offer its customers a service that allows fast and uncomplicated implementation.

Azure File Sync is an attractive option for those who are still building hybrid IT infrastructures and still - or even mostly - have on-premises capacity. Using Azure File Sync, all corporate files can be synchronized with the cloud and then subsequently connect multiple servers to Azure data sharing as needed. It also enables seamless access to these files from anywhere.

This allows companies to centralize file sharing without sacrificing the flexibility, performance and compatibility of a local file server. In addition, the offering ensures that data on multiple servers is synchronized even without the use of replication technologies. For example, information can easily be made available at a new location if, say, a server fails or a new office is opened.

However, the use of Azure File Sync is also a challenge for many IT managers. Support during implementation is therefore highly welcome: As an Azure Expert Managed Service Provider, Fujitsu introduces customers to the possibilities of Azure safely and efficiently. For example, Microsoft Azure File Services on Primeflex for Microsoft Azure Stack HCI are now available throughout Europe.

With the new Azure File Sync service, Fujitsu bridges the gap between on-premises servers and the cloud. The customer benefits from a single point of contact for both lifecycle monitoring and service, while only having to pay for the services they actually use - and with a significantly lower administrative overhead.
