High Performance Computing
In collaboration with Censuswide, Suse conducted a survey among employees in the IT sector. It shows that the participants rate HPC (46 percent) as the most important technology - ahead of artificial intelligence and IoT.
The increasing proliferation of technologies such as AI or IoT has led to companies having to manage and process large amounts of data. The computing power required to process this data has also grown rapidly.
With HPC, CIOs have the right tool to meet these challenges. Without the technology, the resources for modern data-based applications are lacking.
The majority also consider HPC to be a topic that is relevant for research and development as well as public administration and authorities. Big data analyses that require computing power can help in early cancer detection, for example.
