From the point of view of decision-makers in SMEs, skills for digital transformation are even more urgent than improving social skills such as willingness to cooperate and communication skills.
These are the findings of a study by the personnel consultancy InterSearch Executive. In the healthcare sector in particular, there is a need to catch up in dealing with business intelligence systems.
Only 60 percent of decision-makers from this industry say their managers already have a strong understanding of data. But other skills of managers are also gaining in importance in the course of digitization.
54 percent of decision-makers believe that managers will have to show more willingness to cooperate in the future. Fifty-two percent think that bosses will have to improve their communication skills.
Just as many state that more openness to feedback will be required in the future. 51 percent see the promotion of networking as a key qualification. Strengthening a positive error culture will also become more important, according to 51 percent of top managers.
