Decisive competitive advantage
The majority of companies see the development of quantum computers as a decisive competitive factor for the future. More than half (54%) attribute great importance to the new technology for the future competitiveness of the German economy.
One in three companies (34%) expects this to be of rather great importance and one in five (20%) of very great importance. This is the result of a representative survey of more than 600 companies with 20 or more employees commissioned by the digital association Bitkom.
"Those who can master and apply quantum technologies will secure significant competitive advantages. Quantum computers can solve problems where supercomputers fail, such as simulating the effectiveness of drugs in the body or analyzing and forecasting developments on the financial markets", says Bitkom President Achim Berg.
