Christian Klein Is Here to Stay


SAP has announced that the Supervisory Board has extended Christian Klein's contract, which runs until 2025, by a further three years until April 2028. At the same time, Klein, who previously held the role of Spokesman of the Executive Board, was appointed Chairman of the Executive Board by the Supervisory Board. Klein has led SAP in a dual leadership role since October 2019 and has been the sole CEO of SAP since April 2020.
Klein began his career at SAP in 1999 as a student. He worked in various positions within the company, including Chief Financial Officer of SAP SuccessFactors and Chief Controlling Officer of SAP. In 2016, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer, a role he held until July 2021.
