E-3 Cover Story February 2017

The digital transformation is changing business processes and models because digitization is making new cybernetics possible. However, this "control art" only works with end-to-end processes: From the sensors into the ERP! This also requires new providers in the SAP community. TiSC AG is perhaps the most important start-up.
In fall 2016, the Siegen-based IT companies GIB and Qosit merged with the IFM Group, which specializes in automation, to form TiSC AG. The alliance as The iSolution Company targets solutions in the context of Industry 4.0, Internet of Things and digitalization.
Integrated solutions are currently one of the top issues in the optimization of processes and decisions along the supply chain. At the latest with the launch of SAP Integrated Business Planning (SAP IBP), a broad awareness was created of how important integrated supply chain planning is for the control and thus the performance of the entire company.
Björn Dunkel and GIB have the midmarket firmly in their sights. In an interview, the new managing director explains the trends and why SMEs need specific and prudent partners, both locally and globally.
In connection with the merger with Qosit and IFM to form TiSC, GIB has brought a proven expert to its side in Nadine Rahman.
