Book Tips - Cloud Computing

Cloud computing

During the corona-related restrictions, many companies recognized the added value of cloud computing: Digitization processes were accelerated - some companies even took their first steps into the cloud. In recent months, the use of cloud-native communication and collaboration solutions has increased by 600 percent. Cloud applications facilitate collaboration because they make it particularly easy to share data with each other. About 21 percent of all data residing in the cloud contains sensitive and/or mission-critical content. Sharing this data via an unprotected link increases the risk of falling victim to a cyber attack. However, it is not only technical vulnerabilities - favored by inadequate protection measures - that can cause difficulties for companies. In the case of so-called shadow IT, it is the employee who increases the threat potential by using alternative cloud services or applications that have not been officially authorized by corporate IT. Cloud computing has to be learned!

"A peculiar fault of the Germans is that they look for what lies before their feet in the clouds - Arthur Schopenhauer (1931-2020)
