Digitization: Great expectations, sluggish success
As a recent survey by Horváth & Partners shows, 60 percent expect revenue increases from digital transformation. So far, only half of the companies are experiencing initial revenue increases as a result of digitization.
They still find it difficult to invent completely new business models based on the new opportunities and thus to tap into new customers and markets. In order for the high expectations to be fulfilled, companies must undergo a cultural change and become more agile.
However, digitization is only slowly paying off on the revenue side: Only 52 percent of companies can attribute initial revenue increases to digitization.
