Data theft: Companies today need to be prepared for a variety of attacks from outside as well as incidents within their own network. This includes a formal plan that defines concrete steps on how companies should respond to potential threat scenarios. Over the last two years, the proportion of smartphone shoppers (from 20 to 39 percent) and tablet shoppers (from 14 to 27 percent) has almost doubled.<\/p>\n In contrast, purchases via laptop (from 66 to 64 percent) or desktop PC (from 58 to 50 percent) are on the decline.<\/p>\n This was the result of a representative survey conducted by Bitkom Research among 1,158 Internet users aged 14 and over.<\/p>\n Online shopping is becoming mobile shopping. The smartphone in particular has become an everyday companion. This means that shopping is not only possible at any time, but also almost anywhere in the world. 41 percent have concrete plans for introduction in the next few years or are already in the project phase (14 percent).<\/p>\n 34 percent are still unsure and are debating the move.<\/p>\n For a quarter, the introduction is still not an issue at all. This exposes companies to considerable financial and legal risks.<\/p>\n A fine of a maximum of 20 million euros or up to four percent of global turnover - whichever is greater - may be imposed.
