According to a new study by research and consulting firm Gartner, 55 percent of CIOs plan to increase the number of full-time IT positions during 2021. The personnel growth is expected to take place primarily in the areas of automation, cloud and analytics platforms, and support for mobile working.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"The critical role IT played in most companies' response to the pandemic appears to have had a positive impact on IT staffing plans<\/em>\" says Matthew Charlet, research vice president at Gartner. \"The initial pessimism about the junior staff situation in 2021 that many CIOs expressed in mid-2020 has disappeared.<\/em>\"<\/p>
