His 80th birthday is in sight, but Prof. Dr. August-Wilhelm Scheer continues to shape his life as a scientist, entrepreneur, political advisor and (amateur) jazz saxophonist. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The handling of time, the timing, often proves to be decisive for success or lost opportunities - and this applies to each of his roles. In his new book \"Timing - vom effektiven Umgang mit der Zeit,\" August-Wilhelm Scheer uses his own experiences to bring different situations and forms of timing, examples of good, coincidental or even wrong timing, directly to life. <\/p>

Choosing the right time for actions and coordinating the timing of different activities are Scheer's daily bread. A wrongly chosen moment can have fatal consequences; a right moment is often not chosen consciously at all, but is the result of special coincidences. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, Scheer lets the reader participate in maximum emotionality and compelling time pressure during the buyback of IDS Scheer Consulting. His involvement as a political advisor was also shaped by the timing factor. His early warnings about the neglect of digitization were not sufficiently taken up by politics and business.
