The company offers its customers an innovation that sets a new standard in execution management systems by automatically analyzing and optimizing the interactions between interconnected business processes. The system measures the current execution capacity, identifies execution gaps and then prioritizes the most relevant gaps. The system then provides recommendations for action or closes these gaps through automation in real time.

Traditional process mining offers customers significant added value by identifying and eliminating execution gaps in one process at a time. However, in many business areas, a bottleneck or gap in one process in turn affects other upstream or downstream processes. At the same time, with individual process logs, it is almost impossible to understand the relationship between multiple orders and their impact on key customer metrics. Closing the execution gap in a purchase-to-pay process and fully optimizing cash flow requires a complete picture that captures all interconnected processes. With Celonis' Multi-Event Log, this is now possible.

Collabora integrated into OwnCloud

OwnCloud is currently working on a rewrite of its digital collaboration platform under the name OwnCloud Infinite Scale. Instead of having to connect and control each new solution separately with the company's IT, StoreButler handles the entire data exchange between systems, end devices, sensors and apps. At launch, partners such as Neptune, Snabble, ReAct and Pricer are supporting the platform with their retail solutions. In addition, q.beyond provides self-developed retail solutions via the platform.

StoreButler is based on a combination of various cloud and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies developed at q.beyond. The main components are cloud technology and an edge device in each store, the StoreButler Box. It connects the local end devices and sensors with the central control system in the cloud. The StoreButler supplies the digital store infrastructure with product data from the retailer's merchandise management system via standard interfaces and processes the sensor and device data from the points of sale.

Vistex offers addition to SAP Cloud

Vistex announced that it is scaling its cloud offerings and portfolio across the full spectrum of industries served. But what does this path look like? There are several approaches and the decision is not an easy one. The "SAP S/4 Hana Selective Data Transition Engagement" working group offers SAP customers common standards, methods and processes for individual and secure migration paths to S/4. In addition to SAP, the working group includes the consulting companies cbs, Datavard, Natuvion and SNP.

The members of the working group continue to work closely with their customers on their specific migration projects. Questionnaires and analyses are used to develop an individual strategy for each customer. A large number of migration scenarios that the working group has jointly defined help with this.

This gives customers around the world a better understanding of their options and the possibilities and benefits of a selective migration approach. These scenarios are constantly updated and expanded through the consistent exchange of knowledge. This ensures shorter projects, reduced costs and minimized risks when migrating to S/4 - without having to compromise on quality standards.

"Our aim is to create a valuable, active and trustworthy community for our customers, SAP and the members of the working group."
Gregor Stöckler, CEO of Datavard.

Expertise confirmed

Following a successful audit, Plusserver is now an official SAP Outsourcing Operations Partner. The gap allows malicious code to be infiltrated and executed remotely.

Although SAP also uses SolMan for license management at its customers, IT service management (ITSM) and application lifecycle management (ALM) are better handled by secure third-party tools. WDT is supported by Körber's SAP consulting and implementation expertise.

For over 100 years, WDT has been dedicated to the manufacture and purchase of consumables and items for the veterinary trade. With WDT's own high-quality preparations as well as practice supplies, human and wholesale products, the company is the basic supplier of veterinary practices and therefore more than just a wholesaler and producer. In future, the company will provide comprehensive logistics services via its own logistics company, VetLogOne, and supply veterinary practices and clinics as well as other companies in the sector.

SAP Store and SAP App Center merge

Suse presents Longhorn 1.1. Longhorn has been a sandbox project of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) since October 2019. With the general availability of Longhorn in June 2020, adoption has increased by 235 percent since then and the project is now a key player when it comes to Kubernetes and storage. The new release enables Rancher users to utilize a Kubernetes-native storage solution on limited hardware in edge environments.

With Longhorn 1.1, DevOps teams benefit from easy management of persistent data in any Kubernetes environment and a vendor-neutral approach to cloud-native storage. Rancher users will increase the resilience of their edge environments with this new update, including ARM64 support, new self-healing capabilities and improved performance visibility with Longhorn 1.1. Longhorn is 100% open source, microservices-centric and cloud-native storage for Kubernetes applications. It is significantly less complicated than other software-defined storage solutions.

Compliance tool for HR departments

Nexus/Enterprise Solutions (Nexus/EPS) has developed a new compliance tool for HR departments. Employers can use the tool to automate their training and verification obligations (e.g. to implement special occupational safety measures) instead of implementing and documenting them manually in local processes as was previously the case. As an add-on to the Nexus personnel file, the new tool also offers various tutorials on individual training content and provides a certificate in the personnel file to prove that these have been successfully completed.

Digital compliance processes can be initiated centrally with proof at the touch of a button. They are made available to employees locally via the web browser. An automated reminder process helps employees to complete their obligations on time. The new, consolidated SAP Store offers an easier shopping experience for customers who are making the transition to the intelligent enterprise. The consolidated SAP Store offers new features, such as a unified home page and an intelligent search that brings together all solutions available in the SAP Store with more than 1,700 partner apps that were previously available in the SAP App Center.

The new marketplace includes and builds on the numerous enhancements that were made available in the SAP App Center in 2020. SAP-certified partner solutions and/or SAP Endorsed Apps, which can be used to complement and extend SAP solutions, will continue to be visually highlighted. These features now make it easy to navigate the wide range of SAP and partner solutions by offering the ability to search by industry, category, SAP product and/or business unit. SAP will also plant a tree for every purchase made in the SAP Store.

Improved productivity in SAP

Ivanti Wavelink, the supply chain business unit of Ivanti, announced that Ivanti Velocity 2.1 and Ivanti Speakeasy 1.0 have received SAP certification for integration with S/4 Hana and NetWeaver. These integrations, plus Ivanti's support for SAP Extended Warehouse Management, help optimize the mobile user experience within SAP environments.

E.ON relies on SNP software

SNP Schneider-Neureither & Partner was awarded the contract to carry out the migration of the largest S/4 Hana project at a German energy supply company. E.ON opted for the CrystalBridge data transformation platform with its highly automated solutions for all IT and business transformations as well as cloud migrations.

The contract volume is in the lower double-digit million range and includes licenses and associated consulting services. In the past, E.ON had already relied on software and consulting from SNP to merge or split SAP systems as part of integrations and disintegrations. The software license that has now been agreed successfully continues this approach and enables the company to use its own internal resources to build up long-term and sustainable transformation expertise within its own organization.

Being awarded the contract by E.ON confirms us and our work.
Michael Eberhardt, CEO of SNP

No monthly SAP news should be disregarded.
