The mood in the digital industry has stabilized further following the temporary slump in the wake of the Corona crisis. In August, IT and telecommunications companies again assessed the current business situation as better than in the previous month. The situation index rose by 3.9 points to 19.6 points. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The positive trend of recent months is thus continuing. By contrast, companies' expectations for the coming months declined slightly. The corresponding index decreased by 1.6 points to the 5.4 mark. <\/p>

Overall, however, sentiment improved slightly in August. The Bitkom-ifo Digital Index, which is calculated from the assessment of the business situation and business expectations, increased by 1.1 points to 12.4 points compared with the previous month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
