Inside, a few compartments for documents, perhaps 15 or 30. Between them is a separator sheet that serves as a base for signing and is intended to prevent the signature from smudging - especially when the fountain pen is drawn out for signing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The wave of digitization in recent decades has caused many a utensil to disappear from corporate offices forever. Traditional processes have been evaluated, digitized and optimized. The signature folder has persisted for a long time - and with it the typical problems that are all too familiar from everyday office life:<\/p>

Documents that are crisscrossed across the company because of a predetermined signature run. Documents that are left lying around for weeks because the person authorized to sign them is currently abroad. And documents that sometimes get lost and can no longer be found. It's a well-known fact that mistakes happen where people work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Signing, but paperless<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This image of the traditional paper-based signature folder served as the starting point for XiTrust to create a digital equivalent to realize legally valid electronic signing of business documents. The MOXIS electronic signature folder was born. The target group was particularly companies from the enterprise segment, where the number of signatures to be executed daily is high and the signature workflows are subject to strict guidelines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step by step, a powerful corporate solution developed that meets all needs in terms of functionality and usability and enables qualified electronic signatures - i.e., signatures with the same legal effect as the handwritten variant - as standard (see E-Signature infobox).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Integration as a key<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

By their very nature, the system landscapes of large companies often present themselves as complex, heterogeneous structures. Not least for this reason, great importance was attached to the ability to integrate MOXIS into existing IT infrastructures and applications right from the start. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the market leader for ERP solutions, SAP was correspondingly high on the list here. In the meantime, the success speaks for itself: The simple and diverse integration options of MOXIS - especially with regard to SAP solutions - are repeatedly taken into account as a key plus point when deciding on an e-signature solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A practical example is AVL, the world's largest independent company for the development, simulation and testing of drive systems with more than 11,500 employees. The introduction of MOXIS took place in the HR department in 2018, and the expansion to other departments and processes with the goal of a global roll-out is in full swing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2019, XiTrust was represented for the first time as an exhibitor at the DSAG annual congress, naturally with the MOXIS e-signature platform in its luggage. There was a certain amount of expectation about this new venture in advance, but the enormous interest of the visitors on site came as a bit of a surprise even for XiTrust CEO Georg Lindsberger - the starting signal for the next development step had been given.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event motto \"And Action! Making digitization consistent\"<\/em> was packed away at the same time as the trade fair stand was dismantled, so to speak, and handed over to the development department on its return to the home office. The order: MOXIS should also be available as an SAP add-on in the SAP App Center in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MOXIS in the SAP App Center<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

An experienced partner was brought on board for this project: The experts at CloudDNA GmbH, specialized in consulting and product development in the SAP cloud environment, provided valuable support in the design and implementation of the add-on for the SAP App Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The big advantage with this new level of MOXIS integration for SAP is that the initial connection of MOXIS and the configuration of signature processes in the SAP environment is no longer an individual, customer-specific matter. \"Installing and setting up the add-on in the customer's own SAP application means an effort of perhaps one hour,\" describes Martin Koch, Managing Director of CloudDNA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Full bandwidth<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

When using the add-on, MOXIS is called up in the background. Users still have the full range of options of a central decision-making tool at their disposal: All the functionality that MOXIS has to offer as a standalone web service is fully integrated into the SAP application. Personal signature folder included - digital instead of leather. Because this office utensil is also one of the relics of days gone by.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

E-signature<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In 2016, the legal regulations for electronic signatures were standardized across the EU as part of the eIDAS Regulation. The electronic signature can be used in three different forms.
The highest quality level is called \"qualified electronic signature\" (QES). Only this signature has the same legal effect as a handwritten signature and can therefore be used in processes that require the written form, such as signing employment contracts.
A prerequisite for QES is a digital identity issued by a certified trust center.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
