Achim Berg, President of the digital association Bitkom e.V., emphasized the importance of digitalization for SMEs at the virtual DIGITAL X. He called on entrepreneurs to get their companies ready for digitalization right now. KfW funding projects offer great opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The crisis also brought opportunities: whistleblower Edward Snowden joined the digital DIGITAL X from exile as a keynote speaker on May 19, 2020. In an interview with Judith Rakers, he commented on the Federal Constitutional Court's decision on the BND and data protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Lea-Sophie Cramer, founder of Amorelie, shared her experiences as a female founder. \"To be a successful founder, we have to create something new, not fight the old,\" she reminded at DIGITAL X on June 23, 2020. Founders always need courage, Cramer said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Another star guest at the DIGITAL X DIGITAL EDITION was serial founder and investor Frank Thelen. He emphasized the need to focus on new technologies such as 5G, robotics and AI and to help shape the digital transformation in Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The use of IoT in logistics was also an important topic at the second DIGITAL EDITION. The coronavirus crisis has clearly demonstrated the importance of end-to-end networked logistics and resilient supply chains. Networking on the Internet of Things can simplify processes and increase efficiency, especially for SMEs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

In addition to all the digital topics, there was also plenty of entertainment and socializing: Following the break-out sessions, musician Adel Tawil performed via livestream in a virtual living room concert. In the networking lounge, DIGITAL X participants were able to chat and enjoy the music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
