Virtustream has announced new managed availability services with 99.95 percent availability for business-critical SAP applications. The offering is targeted at all enterprise customers who require the highest level of availability for their applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Virtustream thus complements its xStreamCare service portfolio and extends end-to-end support - from migration to management - in the Virtustream cloud for its customers' SAP applications. To optimize SAP applications, Virtustream already offers availability service level agreements (SLAs) for both infrastructure (99.999 percent) and applications. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, with immediate effect, customers can increase their application availability SLAs from 99.9 to an impressive 99.95 percent by implementing the new Managed Availability Services. This increased application availability further reduces the costs and business risks associated with planned and unplanned downtime. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The new services combine deep application-aware monitoring with automated failover capabilities to ensure maximum uptime for an organization's most critical SAP applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Data management for Kubernetes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
NetApp is working with the Kubernetes community to develop the vision of a software-defined platform as part of Project Astra. The goal of Project Astra is to be the most robust, easy-to-use, enterprise-class storage and data services platform for Kubernetes that enables both application and data transfers for stateful applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The goal is to close the gap between the current popularity of containers on the one hand and user experience and capabilities as well as actual and comprehensive portability on the other. NetApp's vision for Project Astra is that organizations will be able to work seamlessly with their chosen Kubernetes distribution in any cloud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Project Astra provides the underlying technology provided by NetApp's public cloud partners and extends it with Kubernetes' own integrations of data services with applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
SAP Innovation Award 2020<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
The Hamburg-based company Kaiserwetter Energy Asset Management has received this year's SAP Innovation Award in the \"Technology Disruptor\" category for its innovative implementation of artificial intelligence to strengthen sustainable investments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This category recognizes companies that use innovative technologies to accelerate radical changes in the dynamics of their industry, thereby generating a significant increase in value and strengthening their own competitive position. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kaiserwetter uses the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence to support the global fight against climate change. This makes climate protection faster, more efficient and less risky. This is particularly evident in the company's flagship product, Aristotle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This cloud-based IoT platform makes it possible to minimize the risk of investments in renewable energies and maximize returns. It aggregates, structures and analyzes large volumes of technical and financial data from wind energy and solar plants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the platform itself, the analyses are enriched with information from external sources, such as meteorological data and, in future, data from the electricity markets, and translated into key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
With the integration of artificial intelligence, in particular machine learning, in Aristotle, operational risks can be identified at an early stage and potential technical problems can be rectified before they occur, so that precise plans can be made for the future performance of a plant on this basis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This new level of transparency enables investors and capital providers to react immediately to developments and adapt their own investment strategies on the basis of the aggregated data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Swan 3D-Logistics-Cockpit<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Swan offers the new logistics add-on Swan 3D Logistics Cockpit for SAP EWM. The highly integrated visual application supports the warehouse control center in operating complex warehouse processes more easily and with fewer errors - for example, creating warehouse tasks using drag and drop. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Swan 3D Logistics Cockpit uses the company's existing SAP data to create a virtual and three-dimensional warehouse image (digital twin) in which the employee controls their logistics activities via the SAPUI5-based 3D Logistics Cockpit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The application can be fully integrated into both new SAP EWM installations and existing systems without the need for additional hardware or extensive modernization. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
By following the SAP Fiori Usability Guidelines, the 3D Logistics Cockpit is intuitive to use. If required, the applications can be extended very precisely to new processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Itelligence is expanding its SAP partnership to include SAP Concur's business travel management solutions. The SAP consultancy is now implementing Concur solutions in Europe and Asia, making it one of the largest partners to offer consistent service quality in strategically important regions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Until now, Itelligence's partnership in the area of SAP Concur solutions covered the European region. Since January 2020, the partnership has also covered large parts of Asia with India, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Celonis has presented the latest generation of its platform. This enables customers and partners to develop operational apps specifically tailored to their goals. The operational apps combine Celonis' process mining approach with artificial intelligence (AI) and automation and establish a link to the business context. <\/p>\n\n\n\n In this way, frictional losses in the processes can be uncovered and intelligent measures can be taken to optimize business processes with regard to the desired results. The apps bring the strengths of AI to every single step of the operational business. Managers first define their business priorities through KPIs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Celonis Process AI Engine then automates tasks in the IT systems, guides employees and prioritizes workflows to achieve the desired outcome. The operational apps benefit from real-time data connectivity, a new functionality. <\/p>\n\n\n\n It can be used to extract and analyze data from conventional source systems such as SAP, Salesforce and Servicenow in real time. This makes it possible to identify friction losses and provide users with process-related, context-based actions in real time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n Deutsche Telekom is now offering Managed Network Services for Microsoft Azure. As one of the newest partners in Europe, Deutsche Telekom covers the complete network portfolio for the Microsoft cloud platform. The two companies are thus further expanding their cooperation for public cloud services. More and more companies are migrating parts of their IT to the cloud. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The need for a managed and secure network connection is therefore increasing. Telekom has therefore joined the Azure Networking Managed Services (MSP) program. Telekom offers the services in most Azure regions and networks them with each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n As part of the \"SAP Cloud Focus Partner Initiative 2020\", Valantic has been recognized by SAP as a Cloud Focus Partner in the areas of C\/4 Cloud Suite and Digital Supply Chain. Only selected SAP partners who meet high standards may count themselves among the Focus Partners. <\/p>\n\n\n\n These are reviewed by SAP on an annual basis. SAP's strict review criteria include certified consultants who undergo ongoing training, proven expertise in the SAP cloud area, and successful customer and reference projects. Valantic again met the relevant program criteria and is therefore recognized by SAP as \"strongly committed and ambitious in the cloud business\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n Qualtrics announces the launch of four new solutions. They are designed to help companies and organizations create the right conditions for their employees to return to work, as well as help gain customer confidence when businesses reopen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The solutions are available free of charge for a certain period of time. With the automated Return to Work Pulse solution, managers can ask their employees what health and safety measures they would like to see in order to return to work without any concerns. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The answers can then be analyzed and translated into suitable measures. Qualtrics is also introducing further solutions under the name Back to Business, with which companies can maintain contact with their customers, determine their expectations and preferences and take confidence-building measures for reopening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The launch of premium solutions is also planned. They are designed to support companies and organizations in establishing new workplace policies and making technological and location-based decisions. In addition, they should enable more agile corporate management and effective measures for the return to the workplace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n Many companies are currently having to respond to the current situation with drastic measures such as short-time working in order to survive the economic standstill as well as possible. HR departments are facing particular challenges as a result. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Centric tools already support many users and help to minimize the current workload. This includes, for example, the BTC_KUG short-time working tool, which Centric uses to combine the planning and administration of short-time working. <\/p>\n\n\n\n SAP HCM user companies can purchase the BTC_KUG tool or simply rent it from Centric for a period of twelve months. Even for companies that do not currently have to deal with the issue of short-time working, now could be the right time to introduce an internal control system (ICS) for SAP HCM with the Centric add-on tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n Red Hat introduces improvements and enhancements to the Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform. The platform includes all the tools required to develop, implement and execute enterprise-wide automation processes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n A new Automation Services Catalog will be introduced to provide greater transparency about automation. It supports companies in adhering to governance, control and compliance requirements and protecting resources and environments from unwanted changes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The catalog provides lifecycle management for automation resources that includes provisioning, decommissioning and logging of Ansible platforms, regardless of whether they are physical, virtual, cloud or container-based environments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n There are also enhancements to the Automation Analytics function, which allows users to see in detail how certain automation actions actually work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Components include statistics and data on the most frequently used modules and resources as well as information on the status of automation and the performance of an automation environment. There are also new filters and criteria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n The auditing and tax consulting firm Ebner Stolz certifies Innobis' internal control system (ICS) for IT service and application management for the fourth time in a row. <\/p>\n\n\n\n IT and SAP consulting for banks once again meets all the criteria of the IDW PS 951 auditing standard without exception, confirming the effectiveness of the service-related ICS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n Capgemini has published an offering for SAP that supports automotive suppliers in meeting constantly changing requirements and market conditions. This makes it possible to introduce, scale and rapidly develop new business models more quickly in order to become a Renewable Enterprise with the help of the SAP Cloud Platform. <\/p>\n\n\n\n In addition to the disruptions in the industry as a whole, recent global events have led to automotive suppliers facing an uncertain and changing market situation.
