Many IT professionals do not receive the training opportunities or support needed to implement digital innovations, keep up with new technologies and work practices, or effectively compete in roles that are rapidly evolving. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was the result of a survey conducted by Skillsoft. Particularly with regard to activities in the areas of DevOps, AI, cyber and data security, infrastructure and cloud, the respondents expressed strong concerns that the qualification measures taken cannot keep pace with the requirements of digital transformation. <\/p>

Thus, employees would not be able to implement the new work practices. The study results show a striking discrepancy between employers' and employees' perceptions of what would be needed in terms of employee training and skills development. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This suggests that many companies are failing to prepare their workforce in line with the ambitious goals of digital transformation. Almost half (45 percent) of respondents reported that the upcoming implementation of new technologies requires their company to be more active in the area of employee training and skills development. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the fact that employees would very much like to continue their education, companies seem to have difficulty addressing the existing skills gap.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
