From the point of view of decision-makers in SMEs, skills for digital transformation are even more urgent than improving social skills such as willingness to cooperate and communication skills.<\/p>\n

These are the findings of a study by the personnel consultancy InterSearch Executive. In the healthcare sector in particular, there is a need to catch up in dealing with business intelligence systems.<\/p>

Only 60 percent of decision-makers from this industry say their managers already have a strong understanding of data. But other skills of managers are also gaining in importance in the course of digitization.<\/p>\n

54 percent of decision-makers believe that managers will have to show more willingness to cooperate in the future. Fifty-two percent think that bosses will have to improve their communication skills.<\/p>\n

Just as many state that more openness to feedback will be required in the future. 51 percent see the promotion of networking as a key qualification. Decision-makers in SMEs see a great need for change in leadership skills.
