The Voquz Group has opened its first branch in the USA. A sales competence center for SAP products and consulting is being established in New York City. With the new location, the company is pursuing the goal of positioning itself more internationally in the future and tapping into new markets.<\/p>\n
In a first step, the US business will focus on the provision of the IT consultancy's SAP expertise.<\/p>\n
\"Now that SAP is increasingly expanding its business in the USA, it is only right and logical for us as an SAP specialist to also take the step overseas\"<\/em><\/p>\n says CEO Helmut Fleischmann.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Heidelberg-based management consultancy cbs Corporate Business Solutions is continuing its partnership with the charity ProBrasil. In 2014, cbs equipped the children's and youth center run by the independent association in S\u00e3o Paulo with new laptops and software.<\/p>\n Over the next two years, cbs will continue to finance the teachers for the classes. The donation will enable socially disadvantaged children and young people to be prepared for the world of work through computer and internet courses.<\/p>\n cbs employee Nadine Ghanawi initiated the project last year. Before her current role as a cbs consultant for SAP rollouts in Brazil, she worked as a development worker for ProBrasil and has been closely involved with the organization ever since. She also regularly visits the project in person to find out about its activities.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n New online shopping portal for Germany's pet lovers: Getit has put the online retailer Fressnapf on a new, future-proof platform. Based on a Hybris SAP platform, Getit has designed a solution that reduces costs and effort in the long term and sets the course for high-performance omni-channel commerce in Europe for Fressnapf, the European market leader for pet supplies.<\/p>\n The rollout of the new e-commerce platform in Luxembourg marked the starting point of the Europe-wide online expansion.<\/p>\n \"Here we were able to test essential functionalities and processes on a manageable market\"<\/em><\/p>\n says Getit Managing Director Thomas Kr\u00e4merk\u00e4mper. The rollout in Germany followed just seven weeks later.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Darmstadt-based IT consultancy UnitCon, SAP partner in the areas of Hana, CRM, BW, BO and mobile transformation, can call itself \"Growth Champion 2016\" according to Focus Spezial. With an average annual growth rate of 74%, the company was ranked among the top 10 companies in the \"IT, Internet, software and services\" sector.<\/p>\n The news magazine Focus and the statistics portal Statista recently published a ranking that lists the 500 independent companies with the highest sales growth between 2011 and 2014.<\/p>\n UnitCon from Darmstadt in southern Hesse, which has been on the market for five years, took eighth place in the \"IT, Internet, software and services\" sector the very first time it took part.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n T.Con, an SAP Gold Partner, has opened a new, light-flooded four-storey office building equipped with state-of-the-art technology at its Plattling site. The SAP service provider, which has its headquarters at Straubinger Stra\u00dfe 2 in Plattling, is responding to its strong growth in recent years with the new building at Werkstra\u00dfe 9.<\/p>\n T.Con has thus created a unique office environment which, thanks to its innovative space, furniture, lighting and acoustics concept, enables a completely new way of working. In the new premises, employees can choose their workplace flexibly according to their requirements:<\/p>\n Those who want to concentrate and work undisturbed can use special quiet zones. Group workstations and meeting rooms are available for teamwork, which requires direct coordination with everyone involved.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In 2015, the European CEO Award of the Year in the Management Consulting category goes to Dietmar M\u00fcller from KPS Consulting. The European CEO Award honors companies and individuals who have a decisive influence on standards in their respective industries.<\/p>\n As co-founder and Managing Partner, M\u00fcller successfully implemented methods for the introduction of SAP standard software in numerous major projects. Today, M\u00fcller is a member and spokesman of the KPS Executive Board and is responsible for Finance & Operations.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Visualizing transaction data, calculating distances and travel times, planning routes - many companies use geographic information systems (GIS) with SAP business applications.<\/p>\n However, it has not always been easy to integrate GIS solutions into the SAP system environment as standard. The IT service provider Abat has now developed the Business Connector for the PTV Group, a global provider of GIS systems as well as transportation and traffic planning solutions.<\/p>\n This software connects geodata to SAP systems easily and with standard functions. The big advantage: the complete solution provides both the software interface and the geographical information. This makes it ideal for transport logistics tasks in conjunction with SAP software.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n SAP has announced new solutions in the healthcare sector with Foundation for Health and SAP Medical Research Insights. The solutions, which are based on the Hana platform, make patient information and biomedical data, electronic medical records and clinical studies more usable.<\/p>\n They facilitate data integration and provide real-time analytics and reporting as a basis for improved personalized medicine and patient care. Foundation for Health provides a flexible and extensible data warehouse model for clinical information, industry-focused data integration management and advanced real-time analytics of large volumes of structured and unstructured data.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Within nine months, Sycor worked with SFM Medical Devices to introduce an SAP ERP solution and replace the existing legacy system. The transition took place during ongoing business operations - without any production downtime.<\/p>\n An analysis of the processes and, if necessary, their adaptation to the best practice standard was to be carried out in parallel. The medical device manufacturer awarded the contract for the overall project to the G\u00f6ttingen-based SAP partner and IT service provider Sycor. One of the challenges in the project turned out to be that SFM had set up a separate client for each of the two locations, in W\u00e4chtersbach in Hesse and in Prague in the Czech Republic.<\/p>\n \"To enable SFM to benefit from the advantages of an integrated, company-wide standardized ERP solution, we merged the two clients in SAP Business All-in-One. To do this, we had to ensure a harmonized data migration\"<\/em><\/p>\n emphasizes Sycor project manager Oliver Mittermeier.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Honico's IntegrationMan product has been successfully certified by SAP for a further three years. IntegrationMan is a flexible platform for the integration of multiple systems. Ready-made process solutions for different integration scenarios enable integration projects to be implemented quickly.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Gisa has now achieved Gold status in the SAP PartnerEdge program for the first time. This confirms the company's particularly high level of expertise and customer focus. Customers benefit from the advantages of Gold status through even better consulting and support when working with Gisa.<\/p>\n The company is a member of SAP's \"Quality Operation Initiative\" and regularly participates as a technology partner in ramp-up programs for new SAP products. Among other things, Gisa is a leader in the use of Hana, most recently with the migration from SAP IS-U to SAP for Utilities on Hana.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Shipbuilding company STX France is now automating the processing of 50,000 supplier invoices with the cloud-based accounts payable solution from Esker, a leading provider of automated document process solutions and a pioneer in cloud computing.<\/p>\n STX France has fully integrated the new solution into its SAP system. The company is one of the international market leaders for the design, manufacture, construction and commissioning of special and offshore vessels.<\/p>\n In 2013, the shipyard in Saint-Nazaire (France) received an order from Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. to build Harmony of the Seas - the largest cruise ship in the world. Thanks to Esker, STX France can now process twice the amount of invoices, especially those for the Harmony of the Seas project.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n SEP and Thomas-Krenn present the first joint backup appliance for Hana. This gives companies that rely on SAP's in-memory solution the opportunity to back up their data with a preconfigured and optimized complete solution.<\/p>\n SEP Sesam Hybrid Backup is also certified for Hana and can back up these environments consistently and restore them if necessary. All processes are clearly managed via the central management interface.<\/p>\n Together with the high-quality server components from Thomas-Krenn, the complete solution is aimed at both medium-sized companies and enterprise customers. The enterprise database backup solution is therefore also suitable for SMEs in terms of price.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI) has been awarded the 2015 Innovation Prize by the IT security association TeleTrust for CloudRaid, a secure software system for the confidential storage and sharing of data in various independent storage locations on the Internet. The research prototype was developed in collaboration with Bundesdruckerei.<\/p>\n The e-software system represents an intermediate instance between users and providers of storage resources in the cloud. All of a user's files are split into blocks and encrypted. The data packages are then distributed to various independent service providers.<\/p>\n The data can be synchronized across different devices and shared with other users. The key material remains exclusively with the user or is passed on to authorized users in a secure manner so that CloudRaid storage and service operators can never access the content themselves.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n SNP has successfully completed the global split of the SAP landscape at Hewlett-Packard (HP). As the company announced, the major project launched in January and an associated three-month test phase have been fully implemented.<\/p>\n This created one of the key prerequisites for the legal separation of the entire Group into two independent units, \"Hewlett-Packard Enterprise\" and \"HP Inc.\", to be completed as planned and without delay on November 1, 2015.<\/p>\n This required, among other things, the splitting of the commercial SAP systems. The total volume of the order was around five million US dollars, and a total data volume of around 50 terabytes from 16 systems was transformed in 14 days.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n SLA Software Logistik Artland, a provider of process optimization and IT solutions in the food industry, supplemented the product data management in SAP for the sausage and ham manufacturer Bedford in Osnabr\u00fcck.<\/p>\n With the new MasterManager software module for SAP, all product-related data can now be flexibly supplemented, maintained and ultimately traced. In order to comply with the legal requirements of the Food Information Regulation, companies must create comprehensive, centralized product databases.<\/p>\n Bedford's requirements were to be able to flexibly record any additional data for each product, which could be stored and managed in the SAP ERP system and made available quickly as required.<\/p>\n Carsten Leiber, Commercial Manager at Bedford, reports: \"From allergens to ingredients - with SLA MasterManager, we can record and maintain all the required master data in the SAP standard.\"<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Arvato Systems decided not to give Christmas presents to customers in 2015. Instead, the company supported the alliance \"Aktion Deutschland Hilft\" with a donation of 15,500 euros. CEO Matthias Mierisch presented the donation check at the company's headquarters in G\u00fctersloh.<\/p>\n \"Aktion Deutschland Hilft\" is an association of German aid organizations that work together to provide fast and effective aid in the event of major disasters and emergencies abroad.
