Although skepticism towards cloud computing has decreased, many German companies are not yet opting for Software as a Service (SaaS): they simply do not see the need for it. This is shown by the new study<\/p>\n

which was carried out jointly by the Berlin School of Economics and Law (HWR) and Forcont.<\/p>\n

According to the survey of SaaS users and providers, there are real reservations when it comes to the sensitive issues of data security and data protection alone. Providers should therefore do more to build trust and raise awareness of the many benefits of cloud computing.<\/p>\n

Hurdles when moving to the cloud<\/h3>\n

60 percent of companies that do not yet use cloud services have concerns about data security and protection. 44 percent see no need for SaaS in their organization.<\/p>\n

Around a third (36% of potential users) are concerned about the performance and the ability to integrate a cloud solution into existing company IT.<\/p>\n

A further 32 percent shy away from the implementation effort. Cost considerations tend to play a subordinate role: only 28 percent are not convinced by the price-performance ratio of SaaS services.<\/p>\n

24 percent do not have the necessary financial resources. The unsuccessful search for a suitable provider prevents only eight percent from moving to the cloud.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
