T.Con, an SAP Gold Partner from Plattling, has successfully introduced an innovative BI front-end solution in the Commercial Activities Center Management (CAC) division of Munich Airport (FMG): the Center Information Tool based on SAP Lumira Designer.<\/p>\n
This easy-to-use BI tool, which replaces Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, brings significantly more efficiency, flexibility, speed and transparency to CAC's key figure reporting. It can plan and control the occupancy of the approximately 45,000 square meters of airport space for commercial use with the right mix of retail, gastronomy and services in a very targeted manner.<\/p>\n
Thanks to the collaborative partnership between the internal project team and the T.CON experts and the use of the agile rapid prototyping method, the implementation was completed quickly and even under budget. The benefits of the BI solution, which is integrated into the existing SAP Business Warehouse powered by SAP Hana, became apparent shortly after the go-live.<\/p>\n
Current key figures on turnover, rent, number of customers and degree of customer satisfaction are available with just a few mouse clicks and can therefore be analyzed and processed more quickly, which offers a clear competitive advantage.<\/p>\n

SAP invests in Ruum<\/h3>\n
SAP is investing an additional ten million euros in Ruum by SAP to further accelerate the start-up's growth. Ruum is the simplest SaaS (Software as a Service) solution that combines business processes in the company with team productivity tools.<\/p>\n
It enables one billion SAP software users to connect business data with an intuitive, flexible collaboration suite. Ruum integrates with SAP's core products and connects with services such as Microsoft Teams and Box.<\/p>\n
While most B2B SaaS providers start with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Ruum has already achieved early success with large companies. Thanks to SAP's ten-million-euro commitment, the 20-strong core team can further expand its offering in the business segment and at the same time enter the global SME market.<\/p>\n
Modern app development<\/h3>\n
Atos and CloudBees announced their partnership at Google Cloud Next 2019. The aim is to create a joint solution that enables customers to modernize app development on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).<\/p>\n

The jointly developed solution NetApp Cloud Volumes Service for Google Cloud Platform offers users a powerful, cloud-based, holistic storage service for running applications, analytics and DevOps in the Google Cloud.<\/p>\n
Whether the industry-specific enterprise applications and workloads are from the energy, entertainment or life sciences sectors, high performance and availability in file-based interfaces are achieved in seconds thanks to the Cloud Volumes Service's NFS and SMB protocols.<\/p>\n

Digital Instructions<\/h3>\n
Digital Instructions is the name of a new application that projekt0708 and dmTech are jointly launching on the market. The software product offers users of SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) a digitalized handling of all instruction processes required in the company, such as occupational health and safety instructions, compliance and other guidelines and legal requirements.<\/p>\n
The additional application was developed as part of a joint project to digitize the HR processes of the drugstore company dm. The aim was to automate the previously paper-based and therefore difficult to evaluate instruction processes in the individual dm stores with the help of a central solution.<\/p>\n
Using the SAP Fiori-based app, all employees now receive the instructions relevant to them on their mobile devices, they can read the instruction documents directly on their smartphone or tablet and confirm that they have taken note of them with a click. The results of the instructions are automatically saved in the SAP ERP HCM system in the form of an SAP standard infotype, are easy to retrieve and can be evaluated centrally.<\/p>\n

SAP Transportation Management<\/h3>\n
You can only arrive on time if you set off on time. But to start on time, the driver needs to know how long it will take to complete the route. As in the private sphere, this is also a challenge when transporting goods in industry or trade.<\/p>\n
To help customers meet delivery deadlines and find the best transport route, Leogistics and Here Technologies are offering a joint solution: the integration of Here Location Services into SAP Transportation Management. The Here products Fleet Telematics, Geocoding, Maps, Routing and Traffic are used as part of the cooperation.<\/p>\n
The aim of the collaboration in the field of transportation planning is to combine the strengths of both partners. This means that Here can offer its own services as well as their integration by Leogistics, while Leogistics customers can take advantage of the benefits of geodata in the transportation planning process with SAP TM.<\/p>\n
Leogistics uses geoinformation in SAP TM for transportation planning and also for Leogistics Track&Trace for transportation execution. The use of Here map data enables a plan\/actual comparison. This also increases accuracy.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n When it comes to a standardized and intelligent system for smart manufacturing, Abat is the first point of contact. The company offers the design and implementation of smart manufacturing solutions. It was precisely this expertise that prompted Huawei to work with Abat.<\/p>\n At the Hannover Messe, Abat and the Chinese company Huawei presented their collaboration on a project as part of the newly founded OpenLab Ismaning. The aim is to create a model factory there that demonstrates how an overall concept consisting of infrastructure and software for digital production can work.<\/p>\n Using a showcase, visitors were able to experience in advance how the future-oriented solution works. For example, gateways are connected between systems and MES in order to offer the operations management level a uniform and standardized view of the systems.<\/p>\n In a presentation, Abat Managing Director Peter Grendel explained the project and then officially signed the contract together with Fan Ruigi, Vice President Marketing and Solution Sales Dept. at Huawei.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Franz Morat Group, manufacturer of high-quality gears, worm gear sets and drive solutions, commissioned the international business, consulting and software company Orbis with the implementation of SAP WM and Orbis MPS.<\/p>\n Thanks to the practical consulting and process expertise of the intralogistics experts from Orbis and the collaborative partnership between all parties involved, the implementation in the incoming goods department and assembly warehouse at the main plant in Eisenbach was completed in three months.<\/p>\n The benefits of digital intralogistics processes with dialog-supported mobile data capture, including paperless information flow and automated bookings, became apparent immediately after commissioning.<\/p>\n All goods movements, from goods receipt and transportation to receipt in the assembly warehouse, can now be controlled efficiently, transparently and reliably. Thanks to a clear view of missing parts, the time-consuming search for required but unavailable components is no longer necessary. Intralogistics processes have been accelerated as a result.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n SAP and Uber Freight have announced a partnership to modernize the freight industry. The prerequisites for this are to be created through intelligent process automation and better access to a network of reliable drivers.<\/p>\n By integrating Uber Freight into the SAP Logistics Business Network, customers can use Uber's digital freight forwarding network to calculate transportation costs and obtain quotes with guaranteed freight capacities in real time. This significantly simplifies load management and transportation processing.<\/p>\n The SAP Logistics Business Network is based on the SAP Cloud Platform and the SAP Hana data platform and offers extended functions for transportation management. Shippers, freight forwarders, transport companies and other logistics partners can easily collaborate and exchange logistics information and experiences via the network.<\/p>\n The industry-first integration of Uber Freight offers shippers and transportation service providers the opportunity to remove typical barriers by using innovative tools. Shippers have a much wider selection of carriers to choose from.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n One of the largest SAP transformation programs in Scandinavia is currently taking place at Coop in Denmark. With a completely new retail platform based on SAP S\/4 Hana, Coop Denmark is changing its business processes and modernizing its IT systems.<\/p>\n The consulting firm KPS is the partner responsible for the transformation of processes and IT implementation. With its new IT solution, Coop wants to fully exploit the benefits of digitalization: it should help to better meet customer requirements and improve procurement, logistics and marketing processes in particular.<\/p>\n The new solution will go live in 2019 and be fully implemented by 2020. The new SAP platform will ensure efficient, real-time data exchange between more than 1,100 stores, the distribution centers and the Coop headquarters in Albertslund, Denmark.
