Together with the ITZBund, Zalaris thus continues to ensure the accounting of pay-scale employees, civil servants and pension recipients of the federal administration. ITZBund supports the business units of the entire German federal administration with a wide range of services. With its comprehensive range of services, ITZBund positions itself as a shared service center for IT services within the public administration. It also operates and supports various SAP systems and system landscapes as part of its services.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>Winshuttle Release 12 certified for S\/4 Hana<\/h3>\n<p>Winshuttle has released version 12 of its Studio and Foundation software products. These have been certified by SAP for integration in S\/4 Hana 1809. The Winshuttle software makes it possible to automate the upload and download of SAP data quickly and easily using Microsoft Excel. Data management functions ensure improved data quality. Users can also optimize their SAP-based business processes using workflows and web forms. New features in Winshuttle Release 12 include an improved authoring experience, fast script creation and execution, and support for TLS (Transport Layer Security) and GDPR.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>S\/4 Hana Transformation Factory<\/h3>\n<p>The herbal candy manufacturer Ricola and the gastronomy and hotel management group SV Group have made the move to SAP S\/4 Hana with Swisscom. Both companies are thus relying on the Swisscom S\/4 Hana Transformation Factory (S4TF) approach. The SV Group has opted for a full cloud approach with the Swisscom Enterprise Cloud for SAP Solutions. The S\/4 system went live in September 2018, while Ricola replaced its existing ECC 6.0 landscape with the introduction of S\/4 Hana.<br \/>\nIt was important for both companies and Swisscom that the planned implementation dates could be met. Both companies successfully completed their journey to S\/4 Hana with S4TF.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>Improved data management<\/h3>\n<p>With Data Catalyst 4.0, Qlik presents the latest version of its data management software, which now also supports single-server and AWS-based architectures. Qlik is thus addressing the growing demand among companies for agile solutions for organizing and standardizing raw data from a wide variety of sources in order to use it for analytical requirements.<br \/>\nregardless of where this data is located. With Qlik Data Catalyst 4.0, customers can now maintain and catalog data on a single server even without a Hadoop cluster. Native Linux OS security provides the necessary data security. With additional support for data sources beyond Hadoop, organizations can overcome their data management challenges.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>NTT Data expands<\/h3>\n<p>NTT Data, a provider of business and IT solutions, is expanding its presence in Germany. The company will open a new location in Erfurt at the beginning of 2019. Development work across Germany will be stepped up there, particularly for the Altemista platform, a cloud solution for digital transformation. New customers are also to be acquired for the company in the region from Thuringia.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>SAP Gold Partner<\/h3>\n<p>Having already been an SAP Recognized Expertise Partner in the Supply Chain Management and Manufacturing categories, SALT Solutions has now been awarded the title of SAP Gold Partner. SAP recognizes SALT Solutions for its achievements in the areas of service, quality and SAP expertise. SALT Solutions' customer references play a major role in the award. The company fulfills a further criterion with the large number of employees who are certified by SAP as consultants and developers.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>ISG Provider Lens<\/h3>\n<p>In the \"ISG Provider Lens for SAP Hana Services, Germany 2019\" study, Itelligence was rated as the market leader in three out of five categories by the IT analyst team of the consulting and market research company Information Services Group (ISG). In two further categories of this study, Itelligence is also one of the companies that will significantly challenge other providers of SAP Hana services in the short term with a strong market presence and strong products. According to the study, Itelligence covers all aspects of SAP Hana technology with its existing portfolio. The offering is based on clearly defined standard packages, which can be combined to create individual services. In the various consulting packages, reference is made to the respective customer situation in order to identify the most suitable transition path.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>Stromnetz Berlin switches to SIV<\/h3>\n<p>Stromnetz Berlin has decided to cooperate with SIV. The company operates the largest municipal electricity distribution network in Germany and will in future bill its metering stations on the basis of SIV's SaaS platform. In the award procedure, SIV was able to score above all with teamwork and technological competence. Thus, SIV replaces the previous SAP system. The scope of services of the long-term contract includes the complete implementation of the large-scale project until the end of November 2019 and, beyond that, maintenance, operation, further development and support of the SaaS platform until 2025.<br \/>\nstromnetz.berlin<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>SAP Quality Award<\/h3>\n<p>Syskoplan Reply was honored with the SAP Quality Award in the category \"Innovation\" for a project for the airport operator SEA by SAP. The gold-winning project is an innovative SAP Hybris Marketing solution for SEA by Syskoplan Reply. The project consists of implementing SAP Hybris Marketing to design, create and monitor marketing initiatives. The aim is to enhance the customer experience of passengers at Milan Malpensa Airport, which is managed by SEA, and to make their stay a special experience.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>QVARTZ implements SAP Concur Expense<\/h3>\n<p>QVARTZ, a global management consultancy, benefits from an automated travel expense management system that frees up Corporate Finance resources and saves paper. KPS, a leading consulting partner for digital transformation, implemented SAP Concur Expense Management throughout the company. Due to its growth and global presence, the company needed an integrated tool with expense management and reporting capabilities that were scalable and flexible enough to meet different regional requirements. They also wanted a more efficient solution with improved usability. With SAP Concur Expense, QVARTZ has just such a solution.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>Supply chain planning on a new level<\/h3>\n<p>Freudenberg Home and Cleaning Solutions, known for the Vileda brand, and Camelot ITLab today announced the successful implementation of new sales and operations planning processes based on SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) for Demand. Freudenberg Home and Cleaning Solutions is now benefiting from agile supply chain planning processes that will equip the company for future growth and the increasing complexity of its supply chains. The aim of the new sales and operations planning processes is to control and coordinate sales planning and demand planning. The introduction of SAP IBP is of strategic importance here and will be established as a new integrated planning platform. Freudenberg Home and Cleaning Solutions expects the introduction and optimization of the processes supported by SAP IBP to improve forecast deviations, increase the customer service level and reduce inventories as well as increase process efficiency.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>Federal government funds research project<\/h3>\n<p>Artificial intelligence is on everyone's lips. The task now is to research beneficial application scenarios. The KI.RPA research project is dedicated to this. The five research partners of KI.RPA are the Technical University of Darmstadt, the August Wilhelm Scheer Institute (AWSi), Deutsche Telekom Service, the Process Analytics Factory and the Darmstadt-based robotics specialist Servicetrace. They are specifically concerned with the development of self-learning software robots and are combining artificial intelligence (AI) with two other topics that are currently the subject of much discussion among experts: Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Process Mining.<\/p>\n<p>The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) is supporting the KI.RPA research project as part of its funding initiative for innovative SMEs called KMU-innovativ. The project aims to make intelligent process automation available to SMEs by combining advanced technologies so that smaller companies can also benefit quickly and easily from this innovation. The vision of KMU-innovativ and KI.RPA is to create a system that independently recognizes and automates recurring processes instead of just executing them automatically.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>Smart switch to S\/4 Hana<\/h3>\n<p>Switching to S\/4 Hana at the push of a button is not feasible. The switch to the new SAP world has too many dimensions. Intelligent, customer-specific solutions are required. With the s.m.a.r.t. portfolio, cbs Corporate Business Solutions offers a customized path to S\/4. s.m.a.r.t. literally stands for the components of a comprehensive offering with a new project approach as the solution core: Strategy (strategic preparation), migration software (cbs Enterprise Transformer), Approach (project approach), Reference Model (project type-specific procedures) and Team (global consulting team). The customer can also transfer historical data; this is impossible with traditional migration methods.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>ERP system conversion at Evangelische Stiftung<\/h3>\n<p>As a holding company, the Evangelische Stiftung Neuerkerode (ESN) now manages nine facilities and companies in the healthcare sector and in care for the elderly and disabled in south-east Lower Saxony. In mid-2018, Zalaris was awarded the contract to migrate the entire ERP system for finance, controlling and HR to the new SAP system S\/4 Hana. On the one hand, this means optimizing the central business processes in finance and HR and, on the other, introducing a workflow-oriented solution with an intuitive interface. At the same time, the SAP recruiting system SuccessFactors was introduced and outsourcing was taken over by Zalaris as part of a five-year contract. At the same time as the S\/4 Hana system went live, Neuerkerode opted for another cloud solution from SAP. Zalaris is supplying all the SAP licenses required for the overall project and is also carrying out the maintenance of the SAP licenses for the Evangelische Stiftung Neuerkerode.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>Transformation of global sales processes<\/h3>\n<p>Infineon has transformed and streamlined its global sales process with TCS to achieve sustainable and profitable revenue growth through innovation in the areas of mobility, energy efficiency, security and the Internet of Things. This allows them to manage extensive video content and migrate their video assets and associated metadata to the cloud. The solution uses the media analytics solution to analyze and extract valuable information from video archive metadata using Amazon Rekognition, Amazon Transcribe and Amazon Comprehend. Media2Cloud also has a simple web interface that can be used to instantly ingest archives and extract metadata.
