Prof. Christoph Meinel, Director of the Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI), and Professor Gonghui Liu, President of Beijing University of Technology (BJUT), signed an extension of the existing cooperation agreement for another six years.<\/p>\n

Brandenburg's Minister President Dietmar Woidke, who was present, said the \"Internet Bridge\" was a \"prime example\" of HPI's extensive involvement in projects with Chinese partners.<\/p>

Initial impulses in this area are emanating from HPI, and entire generations of scientists and young executives in the field of computer engineering are being excellently trained. Meinel, who also heads the Internet Technologies and Systems department at HPI, said:<\/p>\n
