This means that the gateways from the Paderborn-based solution provider are among the few manufacturers worldwide that guarantee the transmission of sensor data to SAP's cloud in conjunction with SAP's software solutions. The Industrial IoT gateway series from Janz has been developed for the special requirements of industrial environments. With the certification from SAP, the gateways demonstrate that they can integrate the SAP Cloud Platform IoT Gateway Edge, which establishes the connection to the SAP Cloud Platform Internet of Things Service and ultimately to the SAP Cloud Platform. The new BI tool is an important building block in the "Digital Sales Excellence" strategy of Rittal, a leading part of the Friedhelm Loh Group. It was developed in close cooperation with Orbis, which was also commissioned with the implementation and rollout. The benefits of the planning application, which is based on SAP BW Integrated Planning (SAP BW-IP) and SAP Lumira 2.0 and is integrated into the SAP Business Warehouse (SAP BW) at Rittal, became apparent shortly after it went live. The sales department can now plan sales for the following year with end-to-end IT support and therefore transparently and very efficiently at the desired aggregation level. A particular highlight is the BI tool's administrator cockpit, which serves as a control center. This is where power users from the business department and BW administrators from the IT organization maintain and manage all key figures relevant to planning. What is remarkable about this award is that the central evaluation criterion was not the number of license sales, but the assessment of the consulting and implementation performance by 20 reference customers for whom Apsolut has been able to work over the past two years. Following the award of the title "SAP Ariba MEE Partner of the Year" in April, the promotion from Silver to Gold Partner is the next major success for the consulting company with twelve locations in six countries. "The step from Silver to Gold Partner of SAP is the reward for the good project work carried out by our Apsolut employees on a daily basis. We are very proud of this development. At the same time, we see this award as an obligation to both our customers and SAP as our partner to repay the trust placed in us with first-class work and expertise," says Managing Director and founder Thomas Herbst.

AI for lawyers with SAP support

The Swiss start-up Legartis offers AI-based software for capturing and comparing large volumes of legal documents and data. The "Lifecycle Contract Intelligence Tool" makes the work of lawyers, in-house counsel or other experts who need to search, evaluate or process large volumes of documents more efficient. The software automatically analyzes legal documents, such as contracts, legal texts or due diligence documents, much faster than was previously possible. In the first round of financing, the start-up received one million Swiss francs from investors. In collaboration with existing pilot customers, including SAP, the Legartis product will now be intensively developed over the coming months.

New face for resource planning

MobileX is giving its deployment planning software a facelift: the provider of field service management solutions has redesigned the user interface of MobileX-Dispatch together with a design agency. The aim of the redesign was to make the client clearer and more up-to-date for users. MobileX-Dispatch now has a uniform user interface throughout. The new "flat design" of the user interface is characterized by a reduced layout and thus underlines the function of the software. The first customers to introduce the updated version, which is available immediately, will be AVL List, a long-standing customer, and Securiton in Switzerland.

SAP Run Partner

rku.it is one of the first partners of the SAP Partner Edge Program Run in the utilities sector. The package fits seamlessly into an existing SAP landscape and, out of the box, creates a real-time view of relevant key figures on order backlog and back orders, on desktop PCs and mobile devices. This is relevant to competition, as it allows production and shipping capacities to be planned in advance and also increases efficiency in sales and sales controlling. The KPIs, which are clearly visualized in a cockpit or dashboard, can be drilled down to the desired level of detail, if necessary to the division level in the sales document, and further evaluated. Regular automatic snapshots also make the development of the order backlog visible.

Strong sales growth

Around ten percent sales growth: The SER Group has expanded its leading position as the largest European software manufacturer for enterprise content management. This means that the SAP partner grew more than twice as fast as the entire ECM market in the 2017 financial year. SER's good order situation is set to continue in 2018. According to the Bitkom Industry Barometer 2018, ECM is one of the top ten high-tech topics. SER benefited disproportionately from this. The internationally active German ECM manufacturer, which mainly counts large medium-sized companies, corporations, organizations and administrations among its customers, achieved a strong total turnover of 67 million euros. This represents significant growth of 9.4 percent compared to the previous year. The operating result developed equally profitably with an Ebita of nine percent. This is partly due to the very good performance of the SER license business, which increased significantly by 25% compared to the previous year.

Seal of approval for warehouse management software

SAP's Integration and Certification Center has once again confirmed that the Prolag World warehouse management software is fully qualified for data exchange with SAP ECC 6.0 software. The previous releases of the warehouse management system were already certified by SAP. The SAP seal of approval offers CIM customers and interested parties an additional level of security. Software providers who successfully complete the certification process guarantee the user that their solution complies with SAP's guidelines and interface specifications, the compatibility criteria for the hardware and the required quality features.

SolMan add-ons

The SAP consulting company Cpro Industry offers SAP Solution Manager users specially developed add-ons and solutions that ensure process improvements in the areas of incident management and change request management.
