This means that SAP customers inevitably have to deal with the products and license models.

The current SAP price list shows 468 articles with 52 different metrics in the Cloud Solutions area. Maintaining an overview and choosing the optimal licensing is a tricky undertaking.

A well-founded decision requires precise knowledge of your own requirements and a simulation of the future. Aspera's solutions and services help you do just that.

New supply chain planning

Freudenberg Home and Cleaning Solutions, known for the Vileda brand, has commissioned Camelot ITLab to improve its demand planning processes by implementing SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) for Demand.

With Camelot's support and the future-oriented SAP IBP solution, Freudenberg Home and Cleaning Solutions is taking its supply chain planning processes to a new level.

"We are delighted to have found a consulting partner in Camelot that not only has a very high level of SAP IBP implementation expertise, but also understands our specific market environment and the supply chain processes within it"

says Christian Keller, Project Manager at Freudenberg Home and Cleaning Solutions.

S/4 Conversion in one step

SAP partner T.Con from Plattling carried out the system conversion from SAP ERP to S/4 Hana version 1709 at Perlen Packaging, a subsidiary of Chemie + Papier Holding, in just one step.

This one-step approach enabled significant time and cost savings and only one downtime was required. Thanks to this and T.Con's expertise and structured approach, the project was completed within seven months.

"Implementing a project of this complexity so quickly and smoothly deserves great respect"

comments René Kuhn, Head of IT at Perlen Packaging, on the successful system conversion.

SAP roll-out in China

Orbis Consulting Shanghai, a branch of the international software and business consulting company Orbis, has successfully completed the roll-out of the FI-CO module of SAP ERP at BWF Envirotec in China within the specified time frame.

Following an SAP roll-out at BWF Envirotec in Turkey, the BWF Envirotec Group, the leading supplier of filter media and filter bags for industrial filtration, has taken a further step towards consolidating its IT landscape and harmonizing its business processes.

Since BWF Envirotec China, based in Wuxi, has been managing its financial data exclusively in SAP ERP, the efficiency and transparency of its financial processes have improved noticeably.

The standardization of financial reporting, which had become necessary, was made considerably easier by existing and immediately usable SAP BW reports.

Global data protection certification

SAP has been certified by the British Standards Institution (BSI) for its processes relating to data protection and the handling of personal data.

This makes SAP one of the first companies to achieve global certification in accordance with the BS 10012:2017 standard, which outlines the core requirements that companies must take into account when collecting, storing, processing, retaining or disposing of personal data.

The certification confirms that SAP's internal processes meet the requirements of the BS 10012:2017 standard and are therefore compliant with the GDPR.

SAP CFO Luka Mucic says:

"Data protection is a top priority at SAP. Our teams are very proud that we comply with one of the strictest data protection standards."

Double growth capture for S/4

Worksoft, SAP partner and provider of automation software for business-critical applications, presented its latest-generation capture technology.

It drastically simplifies and accelerates test automation and thus increases the added value for S/4 Hana, Fiori and other SAP software implementations.

Worksoft Capture 2.0's improvements in quality and speed - the new version is five times faster than its predecessor - open up new dimensions for Global 5000 organizations in terms of security and risk mitigation for critical digital transformation projects.

Worksoft Capture 2.0 drastically simplifies and accelerates test automation based on SAP Fiori in continuous delivery environments.

SAP Cloud Focus Partner

Allgeier Enterprise Services (AES) has been a SAP Cloud Focus Partner for the S/4 Hana Cloud since the end of May 2018. In order to be allowed to use this status in communication and collaboration with customers, the Walldorf-based software manufacturer selects its partners in advance according to strict criteria.

Companies such as AES must be able to demonstrate extensive expertise as well as certified consultants, successful customer and reference projects and innovative in-house developments using SAP technologies.

AES is not only a partner, but also a reference customer of SAP. Thanks in particular to its experience with its own end-to-end implementation of the S/4 Hana Cloud, the company is able to optimally support customers on their journey to the cloud on the basis of best practice packages.

"We are strengthening our market position with this partnership"

explains AES Managing Director Michael Schmidt and emphasizes:

"From the outset, it was important to us that we were not just another partner, but that we also wanted to drive innovation. What we have been able to implement for our customers in the cloud environment so far is outstanding and SAP has confirmed this for us with this partner status."

IA4SP Award

As part of its second Future Workshop, the SAP partner association IA4SP presented the IA4SP Award 2018 to the WMD Group and Datavard. WMD Group won in the "Best Partner Project" category:

In the project "Central invoice receipt - advantages and savings through the introduction of xFlow Invoice for SAP", the jury recognized that the invoice process is an ongoing issue for many SAP customers.

The WMD Group has not only realized a solid implementation of its own software "xFlow Invoice for SAP", but has also created demonstrable added value. Datavard's "Carchain" was the winner in the "Most Innovative Project" category.

The application collects vehicle-relevant data such as information on installed parts, service and maintenance data, accidents or driving information from various sources and maps it in a blockchain. The system uses machine learning to learn to write entries in an event database when anomalies occur.

Around ten percent sales growth

The SER Group has extended its leading position as the largest European software manufacturer for enterprise content management.

This means that the SAP partner grew more than twice as fast as the entire ECM market in the 2017 financial year. SER's good order situation is set to continue in 2018.

According to the Bitkom Industry Barometer 2018, ECM is one of the top ten high-tech topics. SER benefited disproportionately from this. The internationally active German ECM manufacturer, which mainly counts large medium-sized companies, corporations, organizations and administrations among its customers, achieved a strong total turnover of 67 million euros.

This represents significant growth of 9.4% compared to the previous year. The operating result developed equally profitably with an Ebita of nine percent.

Among other things, this is due to the very good development of the SER license business, which increased significantly by 25% compared to the previous year.

The path to a billion-euro company

The MSG Group continues to grow: in 2017, the IT consulting and system integration company achieved a turnover of 891 million euros. This is an increase of around 10% compared to the previous year (812 million euros).

MSG has thus grown continuously since it was founded in 1980. The success curve will continue to point upwards in 2018, with the aim of achieving above-average growth of well over 10%. A total of 2,000 new permanent employees worldwide will help to achieve further sales targets.

MSG's successes in 2017 included the strong SAP reseller business worldwide. The top seller in license sales was the high-performance controlling solution SAP Profitability and Performance Management, which is distributed by SAP.

S/4 on-prem certificate

The interface software CA-EDI 4.0 for the product FIS/xee Business and Process Integration 2018 has been certified by SAP for SAP S/4 On-premise 1709. IT systems, business processes, customers and suppliers can be successfully integrated into the new SAP product generation with the EDI solution FIS/xee Next Generation.

In order to seamlessly connect different IT systems for smooth data exchange with business partners as well as internally, EDI tools must master all common standards and formats. They must also be able to incorporate the latest versions of the systems relevant for data exchange.

As recently as spring 2017, FIS/xee received certification for OFTP2 from Odette and thus meets all the requirements for fast data exchange in the automotive sector. FIS/xee also meets the highest standards in the SAP ERP environment and has already been used successfully by many companies for years.

Onboarding 4.0

Raiffeisen Waren-Zentrale Rhein-Main eG (RWZ) has to deal with around 2000 user applications in SAP every year as a result of employees joining, leaving or changing functions or departments.

The very individual requirements of its 13 business divisions, several people involved in the application process and historically evolved processes sometimes made it time-consuming for new employees to get started.

By using Valantic's APM Identifier, the solution for user applications in SAP, the cooperative has significantly simplified and accelerated the onboarding process.
