Engine manufacturer Rolls-Royce signed a memorandum of understanding with HPI to conduct joint research in the areas of artificial intelligence (AI), design thinking, e-learning and data security.<\/p>\n

Their potential applications for research and development, production and service in the aviation industry will be investigated. In collaboration with R2 Data Labs, the Rolls-Royce support center for innovative data services, HPI will assist Rolls-Royce in developing new capabilities.<\/p>

Among other things, state-of-the-art AI in the field of pattern recognition will be used to ensure even more precise, customized proactive maintenance, making customers' flight operations more efficient.<\/p>\n

Together with HPI as a pioneer in design thinking, Rolls-Royce will develop ways to integrate this approach to creative solution finding into its training program and Digital Academy course offerings.<\/p>\n

In addition, HPI will support the exchange of information in the field of e-learning. Engines supply large amounts of data during production and flight operations. For maximum data integration and security, data flows, organization and storage will also be part of the research collaboration.<\/p>\n

In addition to the well-known luxury car segment, Rolls-Royce is a major producer of engines and components for civil and military aviation. The collaboration supports Rolls-Royce's IntelligentEngine vision, which sees products and services as inextricably linked factors.<\/p>\n
