At SAP TechEd Barcelona in early November, SAP announced the next Generation<\/span> the SAPHana<\/span>-platform was presented. Hana 2 comprises the previous Technology<\/span> of SAP's in-memory computing platform and extends it.<\/p>\n

SAP intends to use this to create a new basis for exploiting the opportunities of digital transformation. Furthermore, new Hana microservices are available via Hybris as a Service (informally referred to as YaaS), which are based on the Hana Cloud, but native!<\/span> Platform based.<\/p>

They should help developers, Innovations<\/span> and to integrate more comprehensive information into modern Applications<\/span> embed.<\/p>\n

These announcements were made at the technology conference.<\/p>\n

New functions<\/h3>\n

Hana 2 is scheduled to be available to customers from November 30, 2016. The Express Edition of Hana 2 will be made available a short time later, after validation, so that companies can start their new development projects as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n

As an innovation platform, Hana 2 will twice a year Extensions<\/span> provide to support agile development.<\/p>\n

Database management - Extensions<\/span> for High availability<\/span>, security, workload management and administration help IT organizations ensure uninterrupted business operations.<\/p>\n

With the new Active\/Active Read-Enabled option, they can use secondary systems previously used only for system replication to handle read-intensive workloads without sacrificing performance.<\/p>\n

Data Management<\/span> - Extensions<\/span> for enterprise modeling, data integration, data quality, and tiered storage enable companies to manage all of their Data<\/span> no matter where they are stored.<\/p>\n

A new version of the SAP Enterprise Architecture Designer Web application, based on the Hana platform, provides IT organizations with the ability to manage complex information architectures and assess the potential impact of new Technologies<\/span> visualize them before they are implemented.<\/p>\n

Analytical Intelligence - With engines for analytical processing of text, geospatial data, graphical Data<\/span> and streamingData<\/span> developers can integrate comprehensive information into modern Applications<\/span> embed.<\/p>\n

The Predictive Analysis Library has been enhanced with new algorithms for classification, association, Time series<\/span>- and regression analyses were added. These Analyses<\/span> help data scientists identify patterns in their Data<\/span> and to integrate machine learning into their own Applications<\/span> to be incorporated.<\/p>\n

Application development - The advanced functions for Application server<\/span>, development tools and languages give developers the opportunity, Applications<\/span> the next Generation<\/span> to develop.<\/p>\n

The Bring your own Language principle is supported. A selection of additional third-party buildpacks and runtime environments are available for use as part of the Hana Extended Application Services extended model.<\/p>\n

Also the new Interface<\/span> File Processor API helps developers extract text or metadata from documents to gain deeper insights.<\/p>\n

New Hana Microservices in the Cloud<\/h3>\n

Users of the cloud-based microservices powered by Hana<\/span> can Applications<\/span> with Analyses<\/span> on any language or development platform via simple application programming interfaces (APIs).<\/p>\n

Text Analysis Entity Extraction, Text Analysis Fact Extraction and Text Analysis Linguistic Analysis can be used to analyze text data in the Cloud, but native!<\/span> process - with the Cloud, but native!<\/span>-Application extension for natural language processing.<\/p>\n

In collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA), the beta version of an Cloud, but native!<\/span>-services. It is based on the Web Coverage Service (WCS) interface standard of the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC).<\/p>\n

The microservice accesses satellite data from ESA and uses the Database application<\/span>, Hana Spatial, in order to use geodata in the Cloud, but native!<\/span> to process.<\/p>\n

This new service, announced jointly with reinsurer Munich Re, represents in Real-time<\/span> historical Data<\/span> calculated from the spectral measurement data. This includes, for example, information about vegetation, water and soil.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
