Austria's industry wants to significantly expand production with the help of digital technologies in the coming years. According to a study by the auditing and consulting organization EY, 60 percent of medium-sized industrial companies already have at least some digital control of their production.<\/p>\n

This means that industrial companies from Austria are currently more digitally controlled than companies in Germany, where only 54 percent have digitally controlled production.<\/p>

Nevertheless, there is still a lot of room for improvement: Just seven percent have already networked their production largely or completely digitally.<\/p>\n

16 percent of companies do not yet use Industrie 4.0 at all, but are planning to introduce it in their operations. For almost a quarter, Industrie 4.0 plays no role either currently or in the future.<\/p>\n
