In total, the organizers of the German Oracle User Group e. V. expect around 250 visitors to the event. There is a lot of news and exciting things to report, because after Larry Ellison's announcement of the autonomous database at Oracle OpenWorld at the end of last year, a lot has happened - especially for administrators.<\/p>\n

Since SAP systems often use Oracle databases, operators of SAP databases will not miss out here. At DOAG 2018 Database, practice, theory and networking will be combined:<\/p>

This year, visitors can expect nearly 60 presentations by top national and international speakers, a practical workshop, numerous exhibitors, numerous opportunities for exchange and much more. Database beginners will also get their money's worth with the beginners' stream on the first day.<\/p>\n

New this year: In addition to classic database presentations, the program has been expanded to include the current topics of \"Data Protection\" and \"Hybrid Architectures\".<\/p>\n

There is also a lot to learn outside the lectures: In the two-day workshop, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the useful \"RMAN Duplicate\" feature.<\/p>\n

Eric Grancher, head of the database services team at Cern, will also be there. He will talk about the experiences and challenges of the Cern database in the opening keynote.<\/p>\n
