The soccer club of SAP<\/span>-co-founder and sponsor Dietmar Hopp<\/span> runs as of now under SAP<\/span>-logo and tries to get in touch with Business Intelligence<\/span> through Hana<\/span> sharpen their own tactics.<\/p>\n

Players and balls equipped with sensors are to generate data that can be compared with Hana<\/span> analyzed. This will provide the club with real-time information about players and processes, enable it to evaluate training sessions accordingly and ultimately optimize the performance of each individual and the entire team.<\/p>

Shin guards, training clothes and the ball itself are available at Hoffenheim<\/span> equipped with special sensors. Performance features here include sprints, speed and ball contact time. They are calculated for the individual players in real time and visualized via an easy-to-configure user interface.<\/p>\n

With this data, training can be customized to strategically address each player's strengths and weaknesses to create the most effective training plan possible.<\/p>\n

For example, game situations can be displayed spatially in 2-D or 3-D views and distances, average speeds and ball possession rates as well as player tendencies can be evaluated.<\/p>\n
