There is hardly any time to answer the fundamental questions about blockchain, because the IT and business world is spinning faster and faster. How can companies still manage to make valid decisions in the shortest possible time and not miss out on megatrends?<\/p>\n

In response to this question, Camelot Innovative Technologies (Camelot ITLab) has developed the Digital Experience\u00b2 product and service portfolio. Steffen Joswig, Managing Director of Camelot ITLab, explains in an interview what it is all about.<\/p>

Mr. Joswig, what was the motivation for Camelot Digital Experience\u00b2?<\/h3>\n

Steffen Joswig:<\/strong> Companies are often overwhelmed by the variety of technological possibilities and the speed with which new megatrends emerge.<\/p>\n

They are confronted with a wealth of existing digital business cases, but are unable to transfer them to their own company. The problem cannot be solved with digital consulting concepts in the form of PowerPoint slides alone.<\/p>\n

Companies need to be able to actually experience new technologies and their digital return on investment in order to be able to make sensible decisions about the use of a technology - and to do so in as short a time as possible. We have developed Digital Experience2 for this purpose.<\/p>\n

What is Digital Experience\u00b2 all about?<\/h3>\n

Joswig:<\/strong> As the name suggests, it is about experiencing technological megatrends such as blockchain. The focus is on accelerated and individually experienceable digital value generation from innovative customer applications.<\/p>\n

Digital Experience\u00b2 is a complete package of various prefabricated software modules with easily configurable templates and coordinated methods for the development of digital innovations.<\/p>\n

Proven innovation-fostering team approaches and agile, rapid development methods allow concrete results in the form of proof of effectiveness in less than four weeks - a customer offering that is unparalleled to date in terms of scope and speed.<\/p>\n

You talked about software building blocks and configurable templates. How can you imagine that? And what role do SAP solutions play in this context?<\/h3>\n

Joswig:<\/strong> The heart of Digital Experience\u00b2 is the Digital Workbench, which brings together the various software modules and templates. These in turn are based on new technologies such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, digital voice, IoT connectivity and cloud technology.<\/p>\n

In particular, the Digital Workbench includes the Twinification Bridge, a Camelot IoT service and connectivity template for generating \"digital twins,\" the Camelot Hypertrust Platform, a blockchain-based model for developing distributed applications, and the so-called AI Composer for rapidly developing AI and digital voice applications.<\/p>\n

The Digital Workbench is largely based on the basic technology portfolio of SAP Leonardo, SAP SE's new platform for digital innovation, and will be further developed from this in the future.<\/p>\n

How does Digital Experience\u00b2 work in practice?<\/h3>\n

Joswig:<\/strong> Digital Experience\u00b2 comprises a clearly outlined three-stage approach: In the first phase, \"Ideate and Innovate,\" ideas for innovative digital use cases are created together with the customer using design thinking methods.<\/p>\n

In phase two, \"Compose and Construct\", Camelot ITLab's own Centers of Digital Innovation develop concrete applications with the help of the Digital Workbench. Here, modern agile methods are used, which enable application development in short sprints.<\/p>\n

Finally, phase three \"Discover and Drive\" includes the \"Touch & Zoom\" experience and validation of the application and its value proposition by the customer. Finally, an initial action plan for customer-specific implementation is developed.<\/p>\n

How do customers benefit specifically?<\/h3>\n

Joswig:<\/strong> The main benefits for customers are: They receive concrete, company-specific use cases for digital technologies within just four weeks.<\/p>\n
