Prof. Joachim Ullrich, President of the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Werner-von-Siemens-Ring Foundation, explains the decision.<\/p>

The two rings were presented to Joachim Milberg and Hasso Plattner at a ceremony in Berlin in December 2018.<\/p>\n

The Werner-von-Siemens-Ring is considered the highest German award for people who have promoted technical sciences through their achievements or who have opened up new paths for technology through their research as representatives of science.
