Namely <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-3xw1vqjsq67ewkmsquu2lqk7hl2rfni2\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">SLES<\/span> for SAP, the Suse Manager and the Suse <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-uljaykd3i0qcooeywh5gy443qst90bo1\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">Cloud, but native!<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>All three elements work together and perform important tasks.<\/p>\n<p>The following is a technical look behind the <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-spb2uxs2osfqys5bj2ms5aqhr0twfihs\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">Hana<\/span>-Enterprise-<span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-v7n8obgxzgh0u4z22thul14uocl3zitu\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">Cloud, but native!<\/span>-The following table shows the results of the analysis of the Suse components used in this process.<\/p>\n<h3>Operational safety in view<\/h3>\n<p>The Suse<span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-4x2fchwmymn7xem0542305gimowjnaf4\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">Cloud, but native!<\/span>-Platform for <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-363qbw8udnf66u9mvxier8sc34bw34sh\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">Hana<\/span> is the <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-3j6hs87hlibczlfdkscm9m2c39t4z3b3\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">Linux<\/span> Enterprise Server for SAP Applications Priority.<\/p>\n<p>Its task is to ensure the operational safety of the <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-p9grx7sb9xrpvxl01tf7wgva5z1lrgku\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-person\">SAP<\/span>-system. The components that come into play are a cluster construction kit, extended service pack life cycles, antivirus, the <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-02zhbayrpnxrf72f68vqugrny8nek40b\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">Operating system<\/span>, a performance optimizer, and a web-based management interface.<\/p>\n<p>Whereby the support access in SAP Solution Manager is ensured. The integration of the <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-so2skx1kpsn33ps8e2z6xjlmkd0bf8nl\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">Hana<\/span>-infrastructure into an existing IT landscape, the Suse Manager takes over as the management <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-z0n5j8v2535gn037952sucveorfotad6\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">Software<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>It manages, controls and provides <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-od8alq0dsgf8q6dut0epwjeu1dt50nkg\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">Hana<\/span>-systems with a high degree of automation. This also makes it possible to use different <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-7u2hioidafcwrix0hgw374ljnyxf77b4\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">Software<\/span>-channels; or various staging methods can be implemented for rollout realizations.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, service pack upgrades can be performed automatically.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the technical automation, the <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-h811o56a749epdhu5he67r7pz5acyn58\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-person\">SAP<\/span>-There is another important point on the basis of the IT governance, this concerns the compliance.<\/p>\n<p>Audit-proof auditing is provided via Suse Manager reporting. The plus point here is that it significantly simplifies the verification obligation of the <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-4qv8yt0v27r3qyzh0qxpmzyduhy1h2wr\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-person\">SAP<\/span>-basis in terms of IT governance.<\/p>\n<h3>Complete platform<\/h3>\n<p>As another building block for an additional level of automation in the SAP Hana Enterprise <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-zulkajsc68mbg8lqv9ejci8wtjj7z2l3\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">Cloud, but native!<\/span> is suitable for the Suse <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-3e3y0imsx4zrgmzyja1z52qqbdr8m4ay\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">Cloud, but native!<\/span> based on <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-hzq4tr9dtnu3gq2wbs6rx29jxcnnaama\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">Openstack<\/span>. With it, a layer of abstraction is virtually pulled in at the network level.<\/p>\n<p>In doing so, the Suse <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-7zks8p3tgf9dktzq8ufms09p2lku9v8r\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">Cloud, but native!<\/span> automatically includes the hardware components of a network in its management.<\/p>\n<p>The Hana VMs that are created are managed by the Suse <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-p0zvi4a1vjlb3trq4w89neaffbhwvela\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">Cloud, but native!<\/span> automatically generated, orchestrated, managed and deleted again.<\/p>\n<p>That is, the Suse <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-obqtuzrx8ggbcdo8nmgwey291wif307s\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">Cloud, but native!<\/span> takes over the complete lifecycle management of a Hana VM.<\/p>\n<p>With this, Suse delivers nothing more, but also nothing less: an entire <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-20g8fapd1d38ypxljf2xatkohpsjmm5h\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-person\">SAP<\/span>-<span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-m0dvzzwmp5sn6b2ts6gxgkz2zflfvyk8\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">Hana<\/span>-Enterprise-<span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-cy9j7ubgpjlbqv8fcdc18u24jntiix1f\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">Cloud, but native!<\/span>-Platform.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-5jiz5vj57tdxv5vb2ze6ivmw2lrjkqai\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-person\">SAP<\/span>-Project Titanium<\/h3>\n<p>SAP's Titanium project, launched just over two years ago, allows the distribution of <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-kx727135sql0uev0lomf26nbte77ikmn\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-person\">SAP<\/span>-<span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-3mgmasy0qgqyq11q2eyijov330r3kmms\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">Software<\/span> in a standardized virtual appliance format into the public and private SAP <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-jlz3elfzh9yne2o64pgj54t4zgif3nel\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">Cloud, but native!<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The innovative approach of distributing <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-k8ms41lfc5b8fty3ukrejmgxadfbzrcw\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-person\">SAP<\/span>-virtual appliances into the <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-avhi0isq0l6w0fumv1sc9qkxapfsd5vp\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">Cloud, but native!<\/span> offers the possibility to immediately realize the potential of pre-assembled and preconfigured <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-y85yqx29uejiklmt1z8ee4dq4600i6li\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-person\">SAP<\/span>-solutions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fact is:<\/strong> This added value is carried by the Suse-<span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-wm0u65gxoanbb6814hckgcg97z8hy2oe\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">Linux<\/span>-platform with. And it was also made available as the first platform for the Titanium project.<\/p>\n<h3>It will be exciting<\/h3>\n<p>In the SAP Private <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-h88xa810e35dnbtgq0imjdns7lroip18\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">Cloud, but native!<\/span> the Landscape Virtual Manager (LVM) is the interface for application virtualization.<\/p>\n<p>Here, too, there is a close development history with the Suse-<span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-ktozsp1uuj0xhseny6zukj7ygk0u9shz\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">Linux<\/span>-platform on which the adaptive computing approach was first developed.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, it will now be exciting to see how the approaches of SAP Hana Enterprise <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-ge4ayjqre0tq46rnlngxdmhv7fjia14j\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">Cloud, but native!<\/span>, the Titanium project with SAP Appliance Factory and LVM will grow together in the future.<\/p>\n<p>One thing can already be said today: The Suse-<span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-dbfbp5n0k88vtaad1s5lzlz2l0ond0yd\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">Linux<\/span>-Platform with <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-rra02q5ummgbwkw1emegrkt6svoejgqm\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">SLES<\/span> for SAP Applications Priority plays a central role here.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>With the Hana Enterprise Cloud Announcement at the beginning of May, SAP continues to consistently implement its cloud strategy and at the same time accelerates Hana penetration.
