Goal of SAP Hana Enterprise Cloud, but native!<\/span> is to make the business Suite<\/span>, business warehouse and innovative Applications<\/span> on Hana on the Cloud, but native!<\/span> to be made available as a managed service.<\/p>\n

The basis for this is the Hana<\/span>-Cloud, but native!<\/span>-platform architecture, which includes several technical building blocks.<\/p>

A total of three Suse building blocks underpin the Hana<\/span> Enterprise Cloud, but native!<\/span>. Namely SLES<\/span> for SAP, the Suse Manager and the Suse Cloud, but native!<\/span>.<\/p>\n

All three elements work together and perform important tasks.<\/p>\n

The following is a technical look behind the Hana<\/span>-Enterprise-Cloud, but native!<\/span>-The following table shows the results of the analysis of the Suse components used in this process.<\/p>\n

Operational safety in view<\/h3>\n

The SuseCloud, but native!<\/span>-Platform for Hana<\/span> is the Linux<\/span> Enterprise Server for SAP Applications Priority.<\/p>\n

Its task is to ensure the operational safety of the SAP<\/span>-system. The components that come into play are a cluster construction kit, extended service pack life cycles, antivirus, the Operating system<\/span>, a performance optimizer, and a web-based management interface.<\/p>\n

Whereby the support access in SAP Solution Manager is ensured. The integration of the Hana<\/span>-infrastructure into an existing IT landscape, the Suse Manager takes over as the management Software<\/span>.<\/p>\n

It manages, controls and provides Hana<\/span>-systems with a high degree of automation. This also makes it possible to use different Software<\/span>-channels; or various staging methods can be implemented for rollout realizations.<\/p>\n

In addition, service pack upgrades can be performed automatically.<\/p>\n

In addition to the technical automation, the SAP<\/span>-There is another important point on the basis of the IT governance, this concerns the compliance.<\/p>\n

Audit-proof auditing is provided via Suse Manager reporting. The plus point here is that it significantly simplifies the verification obligation of the SAP<\/span>-basis in terms of IT governance.<\/p>\n

Complete platform<\/h3>\n

As another building block for an additional level of automation in the SAP Hana Enterprise Cloud, but native!<\/span> is suitable for the Suse Cloud, but native!<\/span> based on Openstack<\/span>. With it, a layer of abstraction is virtually pulled in at the network level.<\/p>\n

In doing so, the Suse Cloud, but native!<\/span> automatically includes the hardware components of a network in its management.<\/p>\n

The Hana VMs that are created are managed by the Suse Cloud, but native!<\/span> automatically generated, orchestrated, managed and deleted again.<\/p>\n

That is, the Suse Cloud, but native!<\/span> takes over the complete lifecycle management of a Hana VM.<\/p>\n

With this, Suse delivers nothing more, but also nothing less: an entire SAP<\/span>-Hana<\/span>-Enterprise-Cloud, but native!<\/span>-Platform.<\/p>\n

SAP<\/span>-Project Titanium<\/h3>\n

SAP's Titanium project, launched just over two years ago, allows the distribution of SAP<\/span>-Software<\/span> in a standardized virtual appliance format into the public and private SAP Cloud, but native!<\/span>.<\/p>\n

The innovative approach of distributing SAP<\/span>-virtual appliances into the Cloud, but native!<\/span> offers the possibility to immediately realize the potential of pre-assembled and preconfigured SAP<\/span>-solutions.<\/p>\n

Fact is:<\/strong> This added value is carried by the Suse-Linux<\/span>-platform with. And it was also made available as the first platform for the Titanium project.<\/p>\n

It will be exciting<\/h3>\n

In the SAP Private Cloud, but native!<\/span> the Landscape Virtual Manager (LVM) is the interface for application virtualization.<\/p>\n

Here, too, there is a close development history with the Suse-Linux<\/span>-platform on which the adaptive computing approach was first developed.<\/p>\n

Overall, it will now be exciting to see how the approaches of SAP Hana Enterprise Cloud, but native!<\/span>, the Titanium project with SAP Appliance Factory and LVM will grow together in the future.<\/p>\n
