In order to provide customers with SAP base systems including SAP infrastructure resources, the renowned SAP hosting partner FIS-ASP Application Service Providing und IT-Outsourcing GmbH from Grafenrheinfeld near Schweinfurt offers various cloud services - up to and including the provision of SAP services in the solution fields SAP Classic, Hana Database, S\/4, Hybris or Fiori for mobile Apps.<\/p>\n

Suse OpenStack Cloud represents a core element here. It ideally enables cost- and time-efficient as well as simple provisioning and deployment realization including reliable operation and control of Iaas private clouds (Infrastructure as a Service) or hybrid cloud use.<\/p>

The SAP service provider sees several benefits gained through the use of Suse OpenStack Cloud and other Suse solutions such as Suse Enterprise Storage, which \"represent significant added value for us as a company,\" according to FIS-ASP.<\/p>\n

For example, system deployments in customer projects used to take between 40 and 60 days. Thanks to Suse OpenStack Cloud, FIS-ASP now realizes this in two to three days.<\/p>\n

The time required for system operating has also been minimized by around 20 percent. Another major plus point for the SAP service provider is the fact that Suse OpenStack Cloud in conjunction with Suse Enterprise Storage has enabled savings to be made on the standard hardware used. According to FIS ASP experience, these savings amount to around 50 percent.<\/p>\n

FIS-ASP and Suse have maintained a partnership for years. Numerous SAP customer environments with Suse Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications (and the High Availability Extension) are supported by FIS-ASP. In total, the company supports more than 300 customers with services worldwide (with a total of more than 35,000 SAP users).<\/p>\n
