These processes are integrated vertically (strategic-operational) and horizontally across the entire operational value chain (sales, production, materials management, finance and controlling).<\/p>\n

However, digitization is shaking up these processes. Many companies are rethinking their business models and changing their processes. We live in times of disruptive change.<\/p>

\"Fullsize\"<\/a><\/div>\n

This not only optimizes processes, but also rethinks them from the ground up. Agility and innovation characterize development. Business departments need platforms on which solutions can be created quickly without being paralyzed by their prior mapping in the ERP system.<\/p>\n

It is possible that these solutions will later become part of the standard repertoire of the ERP system. Or they may be discarded because they are not successful. All in all, companies need to be able to protect the tried and true and try something new.<\/p>\n

In order to cautiously further improve the tried and tested, the ERP backbone is just right. It offers a wide range of design options that are often underestimated even today. At the same time, however, a new world is emerging in which rapid solutions must find room.<\/p>\n

Design Thinking<\/h3>\n

Methodologically, the design thinking approach is a good way for business departments to develop such solutions together with IT specialists. In the process, analytical applications and transactional applications are often combined.<\/p>\n

Technologically, the SAP Cloud Platform is one such solution. In our reference project, which we will be presenting at the DSAG lecture series, we are building a bridge to the digital future.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
