SAP standard interfaces such as OData make this possible - costly middleware is no longer necessary. The Layer2 Cloud Connector makes this technological progress available to users: In just a few minutes, selected SAP data can be connected to hundreds of third-party systems and kept synchronized. Programming, changes to the connected systems or the network are no longer required. Only connection strings and data queries are required for integration. The data is then synchronized automatically in the background by a Windows service running in the customer's secure network.<br \/>\n<!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>Hana runnability<\/h3>\n<p>From now on, some of inPuncto's SAP add-ons will also run on the Hana in-memory database. For customers, this means that the data no longer has to be copied from a hard disk to the working memory for analysis and processing, but that the data is completely contained in the working memory. The data from the inPuncto scanner software biz\u00b2Scanner, the incoming mail processing server biz\u00b2ScanServer and the workflow tool biz\u00b2DocumentControl can now be analyzed and processed almost in real time thanks to the system integration. The inPuncto customer Caritas Di\u00f6zesancaritasverband M\u00fcnchen (DiCVM) with its headquarters in Munich is already using Hana. These new accounting standards apply to all companies and private, public and non-profit organizations. The new standards will completely replace the previous revenue recognition requirements. SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (SAP RAR) automates and simplifies revenue accounting and helps organizations comply with current and upcoming accounting standards. The solution is the first in a series of SAP IFRS solutions designed to help financial managers comply with IFRS 15, IFRS 16 and IFRS 9.<br \/>\n<!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>Chemical fusion<\/h3>\n<p>SNP Schneider-Neureither &amp; Partner has been commissioned by two US-based chemical companies currently in the process of merging to merge the SAP system landscapes of these companies. The contract is worth more than 10 million US dollars. This should enable IT teams to provide and maintain collaboration technologies in the company even more easily. The new release is designed to support IT departments with the following new features: A portal allows IT administrators to create customized homepages for specific groups of employees. By migrating from a mainframe to an open and standards-based x86 environment, the company can optimally exploit innovation potential. Endress+Hauser is a provider of measuring instruments, services and solutions for industrial process engineering. By the end of 2018, the group of companies will migrate its entire SAP environment, which is currently still operated on mainframes, to an open, standards-based x86 environment. In the open systems world, the company already uses a virtualized infrastructure based on Dell and EMC solutions; existing knowledge can be used optimally here. The technical goal of the new IT system landscape is to set up an on-premise private cloud for Hana and all other applications operated by Endress+ Hauser InfoServe, the group's IT service provider.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>Munich location<\/h3>\n<p>After establishing its German headquarters at the end of 2012 and relocating to Langenfeld in early 2015, the Danish company Configit is opening a new location in Ottobrunn, continuing its successful development and growth in German-speaking countries. \"This strategic and important milestone now ensures competent advice and comprehensive and professional customer support on site,\" explains Markus Lindemann, General Manager DACH and member of the Configit management team. A server component for all tasks and industry-specific pre-configurations ensure fast live operation. Additional investment security is provided by standard interfaces to all common payroll systems and time recording terminals. The current release has been expanded to include a BAPI interface to SAP. Time Control 8 is available in the cloud or on-premise.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>Gisa goes Dortmund<\/h3>\n<p>The full-service IT provider Gisa from Halle an der Saale is expanding into western Germany. With a new location in Dortmund, the company wants to open up a further sales area. Until now, the company has primarily operated from central Germany as an IT partner for the energy industry. Gisa will use the new branch together with its main shareholder Itelligence.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>Large attachments<\/h3>\n<p>Many purchasers of technical goods are familiar with the problem: Sending an order by email is ideal for sending orders as quickly and easily as possible while at the same time checking that they have been received by the supplier. However, very large files such as technical drawings, CAD data exchange files (DXF, STEP) and other documents often have to be attached to an order. This quickly exceeds the permissible size of an e-mail to the supplier. The manual splitting of a purchase order into several individual emails is time-consuming and error-prone.
