SAP promises its customers nothing less than a revolution with its various \u201eBusiness AI\u201c offerings and recently revised AI strategy: SAP Joule is designed to make navigation and transaction tasks up to 90 percent faster (source: SAP). However, this applies primarily in the cloud and therefore only to Rise and Grow customers who, ideally, also use the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) or even the SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC). And this is precisely where the promise begins to crumble, because many companies are still in the midst of S\/4 transformations or continue to work with stable on-premises systems \u2013 even though SAP has shifted the (IT) future and, with it, all AI solutions and tools to the cloud and continues to do so. Many impressive customer projects in the SAP environment show that there is another way.
