A single figure illustrates the catastrophic situation of the SAP community. It is not the SAP share price on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, which is now slowly beginning to rise again after a period of weakness - even if it is still a long way from Deutsche Bank's forecast target of 300 euros. The figure in question here is 243.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Only 243 companies took part in the Investment Report 2025 survey, although the questionnaire was sent out by DSAG and SAP to all existing customers. This is a very sad result and shows the relevance of DSAG and SAP. The call to participate therefore went unheard.<\/p>

Two facts characterize every survey: the quality of the questions and the quantity of participants. It has always been problematic and surprising that the annual surveys for the DSAG Investment Report did not attract more association members. Active participation peaked in 2023, when the association received 265 responses from its members. With around 4,000 member companies, this is a response rate of just over five percent. Another low point was reached last year with just 228 responses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The user association felt compelled to take innovative action for the Investment Report 2025. However, instead of choosing a professional market and opinion research institute, it entered into a partnership with SAP. For the year 2025, the questionnaire for the investment report was sent out jointly by DSAG and SAP to all existing customers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The result is shameful: only 243 companies from the SAP community felt obliged to respond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The DSAG SAP Investment Report is an important position statement for the entire SAP community. The report is a compass for users, partners and probably also for SAP and DSAG. The lack of interest in providing information about oneself and thus the SAP community can be seen as a sign of disinterest, disillusionment and ultimately a reorientation. The heterogeneous development can be observed since the 2024 DSAG Annual Congress in Leipzig: While the mood among existing SAP customers and partners ranges from neutral to wait-and-see to skeptical, champagne corks are popping on the stock exchange and probably also on the SAP Executive Board as the share price jumps from one all-time high to the next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This could become an unsolvable problem for SAP in the medium term if the share price moves further and further away from the real mood in the SAP community. With further license gag contracts, sales and thus profits can be kept high for a short period of time. Cloud computing can be expanded a little further with tricks and disadvantages for on-prem installations. But at some point, SAP will also reach the end of the line. There are currently only 243 companies in the German-speaking SAP community that actively participate in relationship management with SAP and DSAG. This means that the global ERP market leader will sink into insignificance in the long term.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"

The annual investment report of the German-speaking SAP user group, DSAG e. V., is always eagerly awaited.
