The technical basis in the latest version 24.9 is a central Destination Repository implemented for the first time in the Epos framework, as well as an Admin Engine. The Destination Repository takes into account all SAP systems in an SAP system landscape in Epos and simplifies administration in the SAP Basis automation suite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ad-hoc tasks at the click of a mouse<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Admin Engine can then be used to flexibly execute ad-hoc tasks, such as stopping and starting SAP systems or setting system messages, with simple mouse clicks using the Epos WebUI. This makes tedious logins to the operating system and the execution of command chains a thing of the past. This reduces the duration of system starts and stops to around two minutes, as opposed to the 10 to 15 minutes previously possible. According to Empirius, the new Epos version 24.9 brings major productivity gains, flexibility and efficiency advantages combined with improved usability. <\/p>

\"Fullsize\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

This applies to all twelve automation apps in the suite. Efficiency benefits can be seen when starting\/stopping SAP systems, for example with DB updates and SAP kernel updates. System maintenance is much more flexible. There are also more options for deleting, adding or renaming SAP systems or for the general inventory of SAP systems in Epos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are also new features in the Epos app BlueCopy, which is used by over 100 companies for the automated creation of SAP system copies. According to the company, so-called SAP task lists can now also be used with version 24.9 of the solution, and the SAP tasks have also been expanded. These can now be used, for example, to execute corresponding SAP reports directly in BlueCopy and using several clients when post-processing system copies - without having to create separate variants for the reports in an SAP system. Also new in BlueCopy: support for Oracle pluggable databases, MS SQL DB restore from URL (such as Azure Blob Storage) and the expansion of table sets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SAP kernel updates<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Highlights also affect Epos Automation apps. For example, previous SAP kernel updates can be automatically deleted during SAP kernel updates. For Hana updates, Hana replications are supported with the near-zero downtime option. Epos also provides new reporting features. Highlights: Integration of SAP Hana Peak Usage and Allocation Limit, consideration of IBM DB2 database parameters or Hana replication status as well as a new status for collector jobs with collected\/collector failed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
