The rapid development of AI solutions is increasing the complexity of IT landscapes. To stem the tsunami of technical debt, technology leaders will triple the introduction of AI platforms for IT operations (AIOps) in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These will provide contextual data to improve human judgment, automatically remediate incidents, and improve business outcomes. While AIOps are the future, IT leaders who want to run a high-performing IT organization must also invest in building the right culture, data, architecture, and security practices to accelerate business growth.<\/p>

Forrester's technology and security forecasts analyze the dynamics and emerging trends to look out for in the coming year in order to be successful. This includes artificial intelligence, automation, technology leadership, cloud computing, technical infrastructure, enterprise software, software development, and cybersecurity. According to the study, private clouds will gain momentum with VMware alternatives. By 2025, most major public cloud providers will be investing more in private clouds, but it is unlikely that newcomers will expand business with the dominant private cloud player VMware given recent bundling and pricing changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

KI-ROI lasts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Most companies fixated on AI ROI will scale back their investments prematurely. Executives recognize that the ROI of AI investments will take longer than expected. Impatience with AI ROI could cause companies to scale back their investments prematurely, which would be detrimental in the long run. \"In 2024, technology and security leaders were running pilot projects in their organizations to explore innovative AI applications,\" said Sharyn Leaver, Chief Research Officer at Forrester. \"But not all AI initiatives led to the intended business outcomes. While these bold experiments will continue in 2025, leaders will also focus heavily on putting lessons learned into practice to ensure their investments deliver real business value.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
