Digital industry off to a good start this year<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The current business situation of IT and telecommunications companies in January of this year stands at 36.4 points, 1.2 points higher than in December. Business expectations for the coming months improved once again following a sharp rise at the end of the year, climbing from minus 0.6 to 2 points. This is shown by the Bitkom-ifo Digital Index. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The index tracks the business situation and business expectations for the coming three months and uses this to calculate the business climate. This now stands at 18.5 points, compared with 16.6 points in December and only 5.9 points in November. <\/p>

Business prospects are assessed positively again for the first time since summer 2022.
