Metaverse and Web3<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There are different assessments of this among startups, but the tendency is for the expectation to prevail that these technologies will enable completely new business models and greatly change the Internet. Fifty-seven percent expect Web3 to have a long-term impact, while only 23 percent see it as a short-term hype and one-fifth (20 percent) are undecided. In the case of the metaverse, 40 percent are more likely to expect a lasting change, while 36 percent expect it to disappear soon. Here, 24 percent are undecided. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founders are most skeptical with regard to NFTs, which can be used to map virtual ownership, for example. 34 percent see a formative development, but 45 percent only see hype - and 21 percent are undecided. These are the results of a survey of around 150 German tech startups commissioned by the digital association Bitkom.<\/p>
