Modernization and scaling<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

NetApp, in collaboration with VMware and Amazon Web Services (AWS), announced the general availability of Amazon FSx for NetApp Ontap with VMware Cloud on AWS, the first and only native AWS cloud storage service certified and supported as a complementary datastore for VMware Cloud on AWS. This new datastore solution enables organizations to move their enterprise-class, data-intensive workloads to VMware Cloud on AWS quickly, easily, and cost-effectively. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This enables enterprises to scale cloud storage independently of cloud computing to optimize costs, deliver new, modern applications with the speed and scalability of the cloud, and maximize the value of their existing IT investments. <\/p>

Further, enterprises will gain access to Ontap's extensive data management, protection and efficiency benefits, which are used by nearly twenty thousand VMware customers operating on-premises today. \"Our close relationship, deep integration and joint innovation with VMware and AWS represent another milestone in enabling enterprises to efficiently move their workloads to the cloud,\" said Phil Brotherton, vice president of solutions and alliances at NetApp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
